Yep, I think that is one of the most consistent notes I've received from folks. I'm cooking up some ideas to make that a more relevant part of the game. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Glad you enjoyed it! I will for sure check out your game!

Thanks for going back to check it out, glad you enjoyed it! I think the lag spikes you were feeling may be the hit stop I implemented when you eat a slime. But if it's feeling like lag then that is a great call out and something I will check out! (I will also check out if it is genuine lag, as this game is not optimized at all :D)
Thanks again so much for taking the time to play through it with me, your feedback was invaluable! I totally agree with all of your points of critique. I think I realized a bit too late into the jam that the most fun was in eating a bunch of slimes in a row. If I continue to work on this I definitely am going to design around that. I also loved your suggestion about the health; I never would have thought of that! I'm so glad to hear that you've revisited since last night, that made my day!
EDIT: Ah, also I didn't realize you submitted Avant Barde! That's been one of my favorite games in the jam!
Yeah I think there's definitely a lot of number tuning that needs to be done. I think one of the biggest challenges I faced was figuring out what should/shouldn't scale with your size and whether those things should scale linearly or not. I will take a look at the spawn radius for sure! Thanks for the call out! And thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it <3
Oh yeah this is a great one. Really clever puzzles, wonderful art and sound design. Just a fantastic job! My only teeny, tiny gripe is that the beginning asks you not to skip the text however the first prompt is to press A/D to move and if you hold down either button to try running around you skip through all of the text. Amazing job!
Beautiful art, super creative take on the theme, and wonderfully executed across the board. I just wish that there was one more layer on the core loop to make things a bit more challenging. The levels were pretty straight forward and didn't really feel a threat of failure until the final level. Awesome game!
Wow I think I've found my favorite game in the jam. Across the board near perfect execution. The puzzles were challenging but fun, the art and music are spectacular, and the premise is unique and catching. Definitely could see this developed into a full game. My only points of critique are that it takes a while before you figure out exactly what the game is. I spent quite a while wandering around waiting to find out what I was supposed to do and shoot. And, that the cute little doots of the first gun go away so quick! I was having so much fun dooting! Excellent job, you should be very proud!
It's an interesting twist on the classic game. I found it a bit hard to grok as I don't think the UI is particularly clear. It took me a while figure out what the trucks were all about, how to rotate the pieces, and how exactly actions factored into things. The tutorial was a bit overwhelming as it's basically just text. It's a cool concept but I feel like these games live or die on their clarity.
Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Upgrades would be a great addition, I may pursue that post-jam! There should be some invincibility frames after attacking (unless something broke, which is very likely) but it may be not enough... I will take a look at that! Thanks again, glad you enjoyed it!
What a cute game! I love the narrative set up and the music, and the levels were pretty clever! I also really appreciate how the controls and goal was explained in a way that didn't break the pace of the game. The sprites were adorable, the animation on the main character was unique, but some of the assets were a little bit incohesive. Particularly the environment, the slime in the sewers, and the spiders. My only critique of the gameplay is that it's a bit unclear what kills you. Some hangtime before you die to be able to see exactly what it was that dealt damage, as well as some visual feedback (some FX or a flash, camera shake, as examples) would help. It was jarring to just suddenly be teleported back to the start. All in all, great game that is super cute! Good job!
Wow this is an excellent game, wonderfully executed! Art and music are top-notch. I loved the references in the opening intro. And the game was fresh and such a creative twist on the theme! I felt the intro was a bit too long winded, especially because of the text speed. It also took me a few seconds to understand exactly what my goal was once I got into the game but once I did it was very fun. I think I ran into a bug in Act 3 where I become unable to damage the boss? I'm not sure. Overall an absolutely incredible game! The team did an amazing job and should be very proud.
I adore the art style and sound design. It's like kind of creepy but in a cozy way? The concept of the different limbs scaling to tweak your movement is a great idea, although I found a few of the levels fairly tedious. It felt I was fighting against the movement more than solving puzzles a lot of the time. I think if you expedited moving the obstacles around and focused more on using the unique features of each level to come up with clever puzzles it would improve the experience. Wonderful job!
Wow this game is great! The art style is fantastic. I really enjoy the loop of switching between basically a stealth game and then just wreaking havoc. It does a great job of setting up a narrative through the art and gameplay without having a lengthy intro; just gets you straight into the action. I could see this developed into a full game for sure. Amazing job!
