Dermimi’s! is about 2 lovely girlfriends who have polar aesthetics (goth gf x cute pink girl 🙏 can you tell they’re blue and red like normal “polarity” colors?) and polar personalities. So much about their personalities is polar — Domo acts quiet and “icy” at first glance but is super scared of Mimi’s shop and is secretly really clingy (this is what is shown since we’re reading from Mimi’s perspective). This polarity of aesthetic is present throughout the entire game, from the realistic glitches and switch to horror to the cute aesthetic of the title screen (and of course the blood present there). It’s meant to give an insight into the characters’ lives and the way they interact with the world (see how you end up stabbing Domo in the same way as you did before?). If you pay attention, you’ll notice little bits of Mimi slip into Domo. In Ending 2, this is all too prominent. The entire time, Domo (and the customer!) was Mimi’s hallucination (wow omg polarity between the two characters as well...). We began this game knowing Mimi was a narcissist, but that the two were both toxic towards each other. Choosing Mimi to be a narcissist was for the theme; there’s a world of polarity between how she believes she acts (it’s written in a way where you could believe she was being used/manipulated in a toxic relationship) and how she really does. Manipulation comes so easily to the both of them, and there’s often a very polar difference between their lovey-dovey moments (e.x. during work) and how quickly they derail to shouting matches.
If we’re talking about everything polarity, you could even say it’s the difference between life and death. Just like a certain character. The polar bear, of course! Because you’re taking the flesh out of a dead polar bear, but you see it all cutesy. Death is slowly revealed all over. The taxidermy is revealed either on day 1 or 2, and enough information across the routes is revealed to piece together that Mimi had killed Domo exactly a week ago. There’s even talk amongst the town (if the town is composed of players that chose to watch Mailor Soon) that Mimi killed the animals she taxidermies... but you’d have to think about that one yourself. It could be a red herring! Not everything in this game is straightforward. Maybe it was just something said in the heat of the moment. But the customer is made up, solely to be that one voice in Mimi’s narcissist head convincing her that what she’s doing couldn’t be anything but right. This is in stark contrast to the rest of the dialogue (why does bro speak like that? Something can’t be right). We hope you enjoy discovering the very polar voices and aesthetics present in this very polar game. (And that you liked the horror! My favorite part is in Ending 1... it’s a bit gross though.)
Oh, and there’s also a morning glory on the phone chain. It’s the first flower that pops up if you search for “flowers that represent duality.” Press the phone chain during any call that’s not the first and you’ll see!

wow, the Art is amazing! I love the atmosphere and it could easily be expanded and put on steam. Lots of people love These cute / Horror VN combination. Well written as well! Splendid Job.
THIS IS 10,000% ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I'VE SEEN ON THIS JAM!!!!<3
Excellent gameplay, good music and simple repainting 10/10.
If the authors of this masterpiece leave a comment and rate our game with the team, then I will be over the moon with happiness<3
This game is wild, the mix of cute and horror is insane. Mimi is unhinged and I love her sm omg.
The story is really well written and the dialogue system is great.
Overall really nice aesthetic and art! Well done!
Great theme interpretation btw 😂
A well thought out story for a 3 day jam. I am completely and utterly disturbed. 10/10
Honestly, a great game. I am not a fan of interactive novellel's but this one surprised me in a good way. Didn't expect any horror aspects at all. Good luck in the Rating period!
The game is really polished and the themes seem very intriguing but I think it's stuck in a loop on the second day? I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong but I just keep making the polar bear over and over again and the story doesn't seem to be progressing?
Edit: It's fixed now. I really like the art and the cute-horror mix.
