Great use of limitation!

Loved the idea and the loooooooong hand😁

Oh yeah, my bad, I totally missed it as I instantly went for the «Play» button.

Could you provide some instructions on how to play this game?
It looks really nice, but I am completely lost at what to do in it.

Maaan, this story hits hard. And the gameplay and art are just perfect. Congrats on making a great game!

Great art, great idea, great implementation! Really enjoyed playing this game. It is just so nice, soft, and soothing.
I think it might be developed further into a nice idle/clicker game.

Fun idea and nice work around the limitation!

Thanks, glad to hear that!
Yeah, I had no time to polish the swinging to work like a proper pendulum, so I had to do with that

Fun game! Pretty hard tho 😁

The comic is just a chef's kiss. The game idea is pretty nice too.
Would be great to have some kind of score on top of that though.

This game was pretty fun to play!

Great idea!
Managing both the «prey» and the drones was pretty fun.
Loved the music, kudos to your friend.

A bit of feedback:
The game resolution was too big for the frame itch provides. I encountered problems with seeing the full viewport.
- It wasn't clear at first that you need to drag americans to the big UFO. I was trying to insert a poor gringo into the little UFO until I stumbled upon a bigger one 😅

Thanks!

Hey, it looks like you marked this game as «playable in browser», but there is no web build

Looks great! Kudos for making it open source 👍

Thank you!

Great and enjoyable game! Congrats on making such a polished UI. Animation and sound FXs work so smoothly together, great feeling.

Superb game! Liked how it feels to play and the CRT-ish(?) shader helps to bring the 1-bit aesthetic to life.
The katana mechanic is pretty cool, can't wait to steal this idea for some of my projects :D

One of the best games in this jam, in my opinion. Great graphics, a thought-out introduction to mechanics, and a good amount of levels. Really liked playing it. Congrats on making such a nice game!

Thanks!

Thanks!
Yeah, I agree on all of the points, there are lots of things this game needs to feel like a «proper game».
But, yeah, its FFS, so I'm just glad to finally make it «good enough» and «completable» :)

Thanks! You're allright, I just made it harder so people won't go through it in 5 minutes 😁

Thank you, glad you liked it!

Thanks, pleasant to hear that!

Windows 10, Firefox

Wow, this game looks so minimalistic but actually has a lot of depth inside of it. I was surprised to find every new working combination. Great concept and even better implementation, congrats 👍

That's a nice little game! I can imagine playing something like this on a phone in subway 👍

Cool to hear that you liked the story. Haven't written anything like this in a while, so that's nice :)
Thanks, that's what I was aiming at!
Difficulty is intended to be this way, but controls could be improved here, that's true👍

Thanks!

5th level is the last, so you've seen them all, congrats! Also, not many reach that far, so it's pleasant to hear that you've got to it :)

And as for the amount of enemies and bosses, I initially wanted to rotate them by replacing one enemy by a new one each level, and creating unique bosses for each level, but, well, I got tired working on this game 😅

Thanks for playing my game and for your nice words!

Thanks, that's really pleasant to hear!

Still no reaction to mouse clicks, here's a gif:
Also, I noticed that the UI doesn't fit properly into the viewport, as the Left/Right buttons are out of view on default itch view

Yeah, I believe that's what I did, but nothing happened.
Right now the web version of the game doesn't start, so I can't check it once more.

That's a hard game! It's also fun and looks great! Loved some of the dialog there👍

Hey that's a great concept, really liked that. Loved the visuals and the mood.

I have a thing for flying islands/rocks since reading The Edge Chronicles and your game helped me remember some of that childhood joy, so yeah, thanks!

Do you have plans on continuing your work on it?

First of all, congrats on pulling that off in scratch, that's cool.

The idea is nice as well, it's simple yet there is some potential to it.

Great pixel art!

But yeah, it's a bit long for such a simple game loop. 20-25 minutes is too much, but like 5 minutes would be a great duration for that mechanic.

Nice idea and a pretty solid implementation!

I think it deserves more polishing -- it was a bit hard to read the text. Also adding separate UI elements for each of people/army/politics would help to keep track of where you stand with each side. The easier it is to track your status in the game -- the nicer it is to play.

Wish you luck with this and other projects!

Hey, that's a really cool idea. I like games that successfully combine two existing mechanics into something new.  Having unlockable hats is a nice touch. I think that game has the potential to be a cool mobile game! Good luck to you!

Nothing works beyond this point

Nice animations👍

Glad to hear that! Yep, I wanted to make my own little «down well», so that's completely intentional, cool that you noticed that!
