Really interesting game, I actually quite love the concept and I can see the potential in this. However I felt the execution could use a little polishing.

Firstly, the inventory seems a little clunky for a fast pace game like this. I actually like the tetris system, it adds more complexity to the game. However the problem comes from visual clarity, when you hover an item over the inventory, both it and your hand completely blocks everything behind it. I suggest adding some transparency for the item you're holding and your hand when you're about to drop it in.

However, I would say the most frustrating issue is when some items get launch behind the characters/mosnters, behind/below the inventory or even off screen.  You could have them pickable even if it's behind something and have an outline or a silhouette of the item behind. Furthermore, give a little more warning time for when the item is about to despawn.

Finally, I have to talk about equipping an item, I'm not sure is this your intension but there it's quite easy to miss equipping an item when the character move and attack. Perhaps having a stagnant slot system to drop the item in might be better?

In anyways, I still enjoy the game and wish you all the best if you're planning to take it further. Thanks.

Hahahah yeah, the satisfaction of watching them fall over! >_< Thanks for dropping by to play our silly whacky game.

Thanks for playing our game, glad you like the concept of the game. ^_^ Really wish we had a bit more time to execute the concept and refine the game even more.

Thank you so much for playing our game, we are glad you enjoy it! Indeed I do feel the presentation could use quite a fair bit of polishing, though 48 hours really aren't enough.

Yeah, I suppose the instruction aren't clear and we didn't put any sort of tutorials within the game, or in other words we ran out of time, hahaha.  But we did write a brief summary of the game in the itch page along with controls. Also, indeed we had mechanics that would make the game more difficult as it goes on, like  different types of footballer, ones that don't trip as easy and has insane movement speed. And props junk that do different things on the field.

Anyways, thank you so much for dropping by and giving our little game a go.

Thanks for trying out our game. Glad you love it, and indeed we had a few more mechanics planed for the game, like a variety of footballers more variety of props that do different things and so on. However we ran out of time for all that.

Thank you so much for playing our game! Glad you like the notes hahaha!

Cool concept you got here! The game is definitely heading in the right direction, just need a some fine tuning to make it better.  Many of the things I want to talk about has already been mention by others but here are some feedback I have, hopefully it'll be helpful:

  • Audio: The music fits really well, it's quite engaging and keeps the player progressing! However, the game could use a bit more audio feedback, such as when the character dies, when you switch character, environmental (platform moving, spinning blade, etc) and when you enter the door to next level. Additionally, although the sound effects fits well, I felt the volume can be balanced better, for example, the firing sound and level start sound can be rather loud compare to other sounds.
  • Visual: The visuals are really well made, well done! Similarly, I wish there're more visual indicator as to which character is the active atm, perhaps highlighting it?  Also it's good to hold the scene a bit when the character dies, which you can use this time to add some effects/animation (screen turn blur/fade out, etc) and it'll act as some sort of visual feedback before jumping to the menu.
  • Gameplay: The gameplay is simple, easy to understand yet fun and engaging! I love how each characters has their own unique ability for each different situation. There's definitely lots of potential level design to add to the game. Incase player forgets what the each character's ability are, you could also add somewhere for players to read it mid game, perhaps the pause menu?

Overall, I know there's not much time in a week to do all those things above but I do hope these feedback helps you  if you decide to take your project further or in your future projects. Anyways, I enjoy playing the game and it's quite well made! Keep it up! ^_^

Hi there, thank you so much for playing and glad you like the space station! As you and many others had mention, I totally agree, if we were to take the game further, we'll definitely need to add more variation and a sense of progression for each passing days, heck maybe even each message after.

Anyways, thank you so much for playing and proving a feedback!

Hey there, thank you so much for playing! I do agree that the interface could definitely use some improvement. Also yeah, this game can can be a Papers Please sorta game, if we were to take it further we could implement complexities to the task as you progress. and a reward system that matters.

Anyway, thank you so much for the feedback!

Hello there, thank you so much for playing, glad you fine the things listed interesting. I definitely felt the game is rather repetitive too, we were thinking of adding more complications and variation to the task as the days progress but at last we ran out of time to do so.  As for being difficult to understand, did the notes help or are there rather confusing to grasp?

Anyways, once again thank you so much for playing and giving feedbacks, appreciate it!

What a lovely atmospheric game you got here! As many had stated. the aesthetic, ambience and music works really well together to give the game a calm and relaxing vibe.

I really love the attention to detail while exploring! Like how the birds will fly away if you get too close, the tall grass will shuffle when you move in it. However, I feel the game will be even more immersive if there're some interactable objects in the environment or maybe even the ability to leap and some interesting things happen? This way players will have some progress feedback or a sense of reward when discovering new things/exploring.  Speaking of progression, just when I was about to feel alone and lonely, I got to the end and I found another cat! A lovely touch to the ending tying the whole game back to the theme! Another feedback is that the walking sound volume could be reduce as it kinda drown out the ambience a bit. Adding some variety could also help in reducing its' repetitiveness.

Overall I enjoy your game, get to vibe and explore as a cat in a beautifully crafted world. Well done, and keep it up!

Ooo, an interesting game here. Concept is pretty cool, however, the controls are a bit hard and take some time to to get use, though still manageable. Additionally, I feel the game need more feedback for when you fail/success, like sound or visual effects. There're a few other things I would say but they are kinda already mentioned by in other feedbacks.

Overall, pretty good game you got here, keep it up! :D

Thank you. glad you like the atmosphere!

Thank you, glad you enjoy the game!

Thanks, glad you enjoy the atmosphere, although ngl, I do wish we added some music too in game, it'll make the atmosphere even better.

So glad someone notice what we did with the theme! Yes indeed we wanted to make player challenge the idea of are they really not alone. In someway this can draws parallel to how social media sells themselves as connecting the world but people that are "connected" can still feel alone and lonely in the physical world. Or in short:  a person in a crowd can still feel alone. Also appreciate it a lot that you noticing all the subtle visual story telling too!

Anyways, glad you enjoy the game and thank you so much for the feedback!

Wow, this game caught me by surprise hahaha, wasn't expecting it to have a cut scene and so many dramatic music! hahaha, Nice one!

Many of the feedback that I want to talk about has already been mention by others. However I do feel a bit more combat would be cool too. Also, even though I enjoy the sound effect and music, I do feel it need a bit of volume balance.

Overall, really cool game, keep it up!

Thanks for playing! Yes I do agree more sound and music will definitely make the game more chill and immersive.

Hello there, thank you so much for spending your time on our game and glad you enjoy it! Also, appreciate a lot that you notice the subtle storytelling in the scene too.

Thanks for your feedback and will have a look at you game soon.

Hi there, thank you so much for the feedback. Glad you like the level design and in-game tutorial notes.

Indeed I agree, I do feel that the controls will need some tweaking for better user experience.

Thank you so much for playing, glad like the in-built tutorial notes and the "message-receiver" mechanic.

I agreed that we definitely need more visual and audio feedback for various things, including for when player got the message correct. Well, in anyways, glad you enjoy the peaceful vibe and thank you so much for your feedbacks too.

Thanks for playing! And yeah we saw the asset pack early on and decided to use it as it fits our plan quite well.

As for the game, yeah I'm afraid we kinda ran out of time to get our pause menu working without breaking the game. It's somehow bugged and we can't figure it out in time so we disabled it. For that reason we don't have a way to unlock your cursor and we're sorry for the issue it caused ya.  The receiving message is a bit finicky to do but basically you need to rotate the dish around to face the incoming message.

And for feeling lonely, ya I understand, which means it kinda did what we set out to do. As mention in the "how this game fit the theme" section: "Connecting trillions of people across the cosmos, surely one will not feel alone when standing at the confluence of countless messages... right?".

Anyways. once again, thank you so much for playing! ^_^

Thank you so much! Are the notes too much or are they too confusing? Once again thanks for the feedback ^_^

Alright I've  just tried it on my browsers, Opera GX and Chrome and it seems to be working fine. Hmm, do you have hardware acceleration on? if not, try enabling it, might help with it. Also depending on you computer it might take awhile for the grey screen to load the game. But yeah try enabling you Hardware acceleration and see if it works. Once again, Thanks for dropping by.

Hello there, thank you so much for dropping by! As for the grey screen I'll have a look it when I'm at my computer. Thanks for letting me know 😄👍

Thank you so much and glad you enjoy the game! I would definitely love to take the game further,  adding features like customisation, more levels, different game modes, and more, so stay tune! 😄

Cheers, thank you so much, Glad you enjoy it! 😄

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah I would love to take the game further and add repeatable content with personal progression too. Once again thank you so much, and sorry for the late reply but I have rated your game, though I haven't manage to give your game a feedback yet. 😅

Thank you so much! Indeed there is a lot of direction I can take this game, what I have here is pretty much just the base gameplay. I'm planning to take this game further and maybe an eventual full release if people like it a lot, though I will have to make it more unique and distinct from Beyblade if I do that.  As for the bug, yeah I've manage to replicate it a few time, and it's not because you miss the trigger, it's because I messed up a script😅...  actually it's from one line in a script hahaha. In anyway, thank you for letting me know about the bug, appreciate it!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy the game!

And yeah I agree, at the moment the there isn't a lot of gameplay mechanic to add diversity to the way players can play. Hopefully when I add more feature the gameplay will feel more dynamic. The health currently is actually shown by how fast the blade rotates, but I do feel that it's not obvious enough. However I am planning to continue my original plan to include a Stamina, Health and Damage bar. Stamina being regeneratable, while Health can't.

Hey there, sorry for the late feedback but I've manage to rate your game before the rating period end.

Anyways, I really enjoy the atmosphere of the game, quite unique among others in the jam. The gameplay mechanic is pretty interesting too, the way you have the rotation of the platform trigger within the level by a widget adds more immersion to the game. Though sometimes when the platform is far away I feel unsure if I'm achieving anything or which one I'm moving. Perhaps the platform's light could glow a little more while also having some sort directional audio feedback when you rotate.

I've also manage to get the character stuck on a few occasion, once was when I fell into a region that's blocked by the rotated platform and the other was when the platform is rotated at an angle and I can't jump while I'm on the slope. Maybe having some sort of player reset button will do the trick.

Overall I find this game quite fun and immersive. With a little bit more polishing and maybe even adding some narrative, I feel it can be really enjoyable! Keep up the good work! Oh, and once again thank you for streaming all the games in Kenney's Game Jam!

Thank you so much, glad you enjoy the game!

I find it really fun assembling all the awesome Kenney assets and each having their own theme. Do you have any theme you feel would be a good addition to the game? 😄 Also for the health, I'm actually thinking of adding 2 types of "health",  Stamina and Integrity (actual health).  Stamina being able to regenerate while the other cannot. Though I'm not sure will this be unique enough.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback, appreciate it a lot!

Hey! Thank you so much for streaming my game and the awesome feedback, really appreciate it a lot!

Glad you like the speed lines, it's actually made from a particle effects emitting a stretch out circle from Kenney's asset. Also, a little fun extra hint: the more "intense" the speed lines are, the more damage you'll do.

As many players has pointed out,  I do feel that the current heath system need some improvement. This is especially true for the visual indicator, since the only way to know your current health is by the rotational speed of your blade. As a result this makes it not obvious and might not even work properly due to fps performance of different computers.

I was thinking of continuing my original plans to include a Stamina, Health and Damage bar. Stamina being regeneratable from environment interactions, while Health can't be regenerate but can only be reduced by fully charged attacks. (Either reducing to 0 will result in the player losing. ) However I fear this mechanic might be too generic? 🤔

Once again thank you so much, and glad you enjoy the game! Also really nice to see there's a streamer streaming game jam content from Kenneys' !

Hey! Thank you so much for all the feedback, appreciate it a lot!

Yeah, unfortunately due to time constraints I ended up simplifying the mechanic a lot and polish what I have instead. Originally I planned for each Blades to have a Stamina, health and damage bar. Stamina being regeneratable from environment interactions, while health can't be regenerate but can only be reduced by fully charged damage attacks. (Either reducing to 0 will result in the player losing. )

As for the pillar, yeah I agree that it does obstruct the camera. I was trying to make it so that the camera zooms in front of the pillar when the Blade goes behind it, but not sure will that be annoying.

Actually I recently thought of a mechanic that could utilise all the broken pieces. Maybe the player can pick up nearby broken pieces and swirl them around you (like a tornado), which can damage enemies when collide with them. However enemies can do the same too, so you would want to rush back in to collect the pieces.

Once again thank you so much, I'll definitely polish the game further.

Oh wow, Thank you so much! Yeah I've heard of DontDestroyOnLoad() but never tried it yet, so this is what it can be use for, Interesting! Actually I might apply this for the scene between the main menu and Blade customisation.  The the code is really clear, and yeah I can see it being used, especially during the arena I could cycle thru a variety of music. :D

Once again thank you so much! Appreciate it a lot!

Thank you so much for playing! And the feedback! I'm planning to introduce all that and more now that the rating is over, though it'll take me a bit of time since I'm also busy with other stuff.

Nicely done with the theme! Fun puzzle to solve and lovely music to go with it. Not sure is it intended but I can jump over walls from the side, I guess speed runners can use that feature hahaha. However, as for the camera I feel like it could use some improvement, as there are times after I rotate, a wall blocks my character completely from view. Other than that it's a pretty solid game! Well done, keep it up!

Thank you so much, glad you enjoy it!

Thanks for the tip, and yeah those are very good point that I actually didn't consider much. Would you suggest that a rapid fading it to the next scene would make it better? And maybe when on game start there will be a count down from 3 and then the next music plays when the player drops. That might make the transition better? Perhaps I'll give it a try right now hahahah. Also that's a very good point about the game music resetting, I'll take note on that!

Once again thank you so much for the feedback! Appreciate it a lot!

Thank you! Glad you enjoy it! Would love to add more variety of asset too!
