Hey there, sorry for the late feedback but I've manage to rate your game before the rating period end.

Anyways, I really enjoy the atmosphere of the game, quite unique among others in the jam. The gameplay mechanic is pretty interesting too, the way you have the rotation of the platform trigger within the level by a widget adds more immersion to the game. Though sometimes when the platform is far away I feel unsure if I'm achieving anything or which one I'm moving. Perhaps the platform's light could glow a little more while also having some sort directional audio feedback when you rotate.

I've also manage to get the character stuck on a few occasion, once was when I fell into a region that's blocked by the rotated platform and the other was when the platform is rotated at an angle and I can't jump while I'm on the slope. Maybe having some sort of player reset button will do the trick.

Overall I find this game quite fun and immersive. With a little bit more polishing and maybe even adding some narrative, I feel it can be really enjoyable! Keep up the good work! Oh, and once again thank you for streaming all the games in Kenney's Game Jam!

Interesting concept! I like seeing games where you rotate a specific part of the stage, instead of the whole stage. It can create nice puzzles. I really liked the way the vision was obscured and the general atmosphere. There were some issues with the character getting stuck in the environment, but with some polish this can turn into a really cool game

Thank you very much, I appreciate you giving my game a try and I’m very glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately, by the time I got to level design, it was exceedingly late for me and I didn’t get as much time to balance everything in the levels. I explicitly reduced the slope a character could walk up to prevent some easy victories, but it does turn out that caused more issues (like getting stuck) that I didn’t foresee. :)

This was the game with the best mood that I've played on the jam! Nice work there, with the dark atmosphere. But I had some problems with the gameplay: there was one platform that I didn't rotate fully, it stayed on a 45 degrees and I managed to get the key, but it didn't let me jump anymore, so I got stuck and had to reload the game; on level 1 I didn't understand immediately what I was supposed to do, so I entered in the first door and it closed the game haha, I wasn't expecting it; I got stuck at level 3, on the second section, dying a lot by falling between the platforms, so a checkpoint system would really help to decrease the frustration of respawning at the beginning. Aside from these details, I had fun figuring out the rotating platforms and advancing through the game, good job!

Developer

Thank you very much for playing my game, I really appreciate it! I’m sorry the platform got stuck! I never encountered that in my play threws. Those rotating platforms have no collision with anything other than the player. Also, sorry about the door on the first level. I realized very late that there wasn’t a system for the player to simply quit (and, technically, there isn’t for level 2 or 3), so I put that door in as a quick escape. LOL! Not quite as sorry for the trouble with the level 3 platforms, though… but the checkpoint system is a fair suggestion! Thank you!

Like others have said, the "feels/atmosphere" of the game is really well done which is all tide together with the limited sounds and ambient sound effect.  Now, I don't know why, but that first door  which looks red and has a red 'X' on it I kept thinking I had to go get the key and unlock it and was surprised it closed the game. No joke, it took me 3 times to realize...it's not the game, this is the "close application" door and not the door I am supposed to go through. Maybe spelling it out "Quit Game" or making the first real door not be the same color would'be helped this fool :P :D

Developer

Lol! Yes, that was indeed the “Quit Game” door! It never occurred to me someone would mistake it for the door that needed the key! Sorry about that! I wanted a way for people to quit and at 3am I had no energy to make a menu.

Otherwise I’m glad you liked the game and eventually figured out the door! :D

The darkest game that I played (and I played more than 50 of them), the atmosphere is really nice and obviously the rotating puzzle part is perfectly in the theme. Another game with a nice personnality/personnal touch!

Well done on this!

I really enjoyed playing this game. Really got the gears turning in my head, so to speak. Good job.

Developer

Hey! Thank you very much for playing! I’m glad it got your gears turning, instead of grinding your gears, hehe :D

Awesome work! I really liked how the game was designed and how it presented a darker, more mysterious atmosphere. I totally wouldn't have thought to try and use the assets like that and I think it's super impressive how well you pulled it off. I also got stuck, in level 4 at the beginning by doing a partial rotation (rotated the straight piece to make a ramp going bottom left to upper right, but then couldn't get back up to rotation thingy), but that was the only minor snag I ran into. It was fun to play!

Developer

Thank you very much for playing my game! I’ve really happy you enjoyed it! Honestly, I was hashing out that level around 2am and, while I thought I took care of any major issues, I’m sorry I missed the issue of moving on angles. I explicitly lowered the engines “slope” allowance because of another issue and it never occurred to me to double check the player’s ability to move on a partial rotation.

a reset button would be nice otherwise great!

Developer

Thank you very much for giving the game a try! I’m hind sight, a level reset button would have been great and I just never thought of it.

Nice game with great concept! But at some point I got stuck and I couldn't move, having a button to reset a level would be nice, also the controls are a bit clunky, but overall it's really nice game :)

Developer

Thank you very much for trying the game! To be honest, a level reset button never actually occurred to me, but would be a great idea! Just out of curiosity, do you remember where you got stuck?

Not sure which level it was, 4th or 5th, but I got stuck falling onto half way rotated platform ~45deg. It looked like endless sliding. I tried to jump out, I even heard the jumping sound but it didn't work and I gave up.
