WHAT IS GWIZZ

Amazing style, fits theme well, super addictive and fun.
Fantastic work, I don't know how Pico-8 developers do it

The movement is quite addictive and it sticks to the theme well!
The game had great juice, always reacting to my input by changing the camera range, camera shake, or particles, etc. Fantastic submission!

I love the art style combined with the moving geometry objects!
The movement felt very good and the sound effects felt like they matched the visuals.
The music felt a bit repetitive, but asking for in-depth music in a game jam is unrealistic.
Overall great game!

Thank you for the feedback!
The game was 100% intended to be a more automated factory game, but as it turns out, completing levels manually is far more effective since we didn't add any countermeasures against it.

Good Luck everyone! Have fun :)

This game is great fun!
I think that with more visual styles and unique level elements this game could easily be expanded into a well-fleshed steam release.

I'm excited to see this game progress.

This game is a lot of fun!
I feel if there was more visual verticallity in the art style it would look nicer, additionally more polish in the animation would add to the stylized expirience.

This game is quite addicting, great work!

cool, going to try it out now

(1 edit)

I'm excited to play your future games!
Remember that its perfectly ok to copy someone else's code as long as you figure out how it works.
Also to fix the tilemap having gaps in it, make sure you put your tilemap sprites into a sprite atlas.

The art and mechanics are very nice!

If I were to give some constructive criticism it would be to add a tutorial at the beginning of the game, to add sound and music throughout the levels, and to have the player not have friction when holding a movement key into a wall (as shown here).

Other than that this game is very visually nice and with a little more polish could be lots more fun!

I just downloaded and tried it out and its a nice tool, thank you for helping out!

Anyone know any easy to use 8-bit style music makers?

Very simple yet effective art style.

I played this on android and the controls are great!

The puzzles aren't really head scratchers but the movement is nice and floaty and the art theme is very nice!

I like the themed pixel art

The pixel art looks nice on the cover but I cant get the game to load :(

Cute art!

I love the cute pixel art and the movement is quite smooth.
Good stuff!

Good art and fun music!

Great art and original gameplay!

Thank you for the review!
Due to the time limit getting to me I couldn't add a proper in-game tutorial.
The reason the small robot got stuck is because the big robot was touching the blue spotted tile, that disables the small robots movement.

I really wanted to add music but the time really got to me.
In a post jam version I will defiantly have some sort of tutorial to ease in the different puzzle elements.
Thanks for your feedback!

Cute art!

Very nice low poly art, I love that style!

Very unique theme interpretation.
I like the cute art but it has a learning curve.

I love the art and the general feel of the game

Great interpretation of the theme and great concept!
I love the art

Good interpretation of the theme!

Cute/ funny pixel art

Good concept!

great graphics
great interpretation of the theme
good game concept!

I like the minimalistic pixel art theme
The sound effects are very simple yet give the game so much more satisfaction
Good game!

Cure art!
Original and entertaining concept.

Love the simplistic art.
The controls are very intuitive yet some of the puzzles are stumpers.
Good game!

Love the art!
Cool concept too!

Very fun game!
Reminds me a lot of Sticky Slimes by SominStudios

Very cool concept!
I love the basic design and contrast in the terrain.

Although I did find two minor bugs:
1. The ground detection to restore jumps is a little off while in the moving space
2. You go in the wall if you get half way crushed between a static platform and a moving space

Of course bugs are expected in a game jam

Overall a great game that is highly polished and minimal
