Thank you for the feedback :) I would've liked to add some sore of mini game like you said but sadly I underestimated the time I had to create the systems and wouldn't have been able to implement one within the deadline

I completely agree with what you said about the powerups. I wanted to add some way to save them for later, but I unfortunately ran into a few issues with UI scaling and camera sizing right before the deadline of the Jam that I had to deal with instead. I also would've liked to make enemies, when they run into you, maybe knock you back and stun you for a short time or something along those lines. I'm sorry about the resolution problem, this is the first time I've actually really gotten to work with WebGL and I don't know how to fix all that stuff yet.
Thank you so much for all the great feedback and for playing!!
Thank you! I used mostly simple 32x32 sprites with Unity's Pixel Perfect Camera, as well as black, transparent versions for shadows. The music was actually from this completely free to use music bundle by Abstraction which has a lot of good stuff in it. And I used SFXR for all my other sound effects. I'll check it out! :)
3 game jams with completely different themes? None of which it matches the theme for? Nothing against that but, if you put a game in more than one game jam atleast make sure it fits the theme and requirements of said jams. People who are trying to vote come across this and it just feels disrespectful and it's a hinderance. The game seems fine, just not this jam.
Nice visuals and sound effects, but it appears as though that's where most of the time went. With such a simple game, I feel the turning, being the only real mechanic for the player to directly control, could've been much smoother and fleshed out, sometimes when I turned the back of the boat hit a rock which felt somewhat unfair. Just a nitpick, but overall good job :)
Well put together, but controls sometimes felt a little slow and it, maybe this was intended to make it difficult but I think making it more snappy could've made it a little nicer to play. Nice graphics, but the background did feel a little static, even just a slow, few frame animation for the water and maybe moving clouds could've given it a lot more life. Overall well done :)
Level editor was cool, but in a game jam that probably wasn't the main thing to focus on, just for future reference. Adding a skybox and improving the fact that the body of water was a plane instead of infinite (even if there were invis border) would've very much improved the look. Spicing up the main menu and UI is also another thing I would put a little more time in, I feel many people often make a bare bones menu but I personally think that first impression is quite important. Overall solid game, good work for such a short time! :)
Nice concept, unfortunately the player felt very fast and difficult to control and personally I think decreasing the speed could be more enjoyable. The UI blocked alot of vision that would be very helpful in this sort of game. The game was very clear to pick up off the start! Great use of the minimap to keep the player from getting lost! Good job :)
I used some of your music for the ScoreSpace Jam #30 and it definitely established the cozy mood and was a huge help for me! Still waiting for voting to finish but fingers crossed! https://voidstormm.itch.io/arise Keep up the good work!
