Thank you for your critiques Charlie. We will definitely take it on board for future projects and sorry for the title issue.

It is -- Ethereal Nightowl: VICE

Nice idea and loved the sound effects that you used to make it feel like a horror game. Smooth game play and nice visuals too. Runs nicely so good work.

Feel like using copyrighted characters like Garfield would require the inclusion of some kind of reference saying that those characters are not your own work to avoid any plagiarism.

Overall, a really nice game and I especially loved the designs of Garfield for the game over screen and the main menu.

Was a really nice take on the brief and I really enjoyed the fluidity of the transition between 2D and 3D platformer so well done.

There seemed to be a whit box that remained at the bottom of my screen as I played and made things slightly confusing at times. Also I couldn't get past the bridge when you first learn to switch between 2D and 3D as my character was unable to get up onto the bridge either by walking or jumping.

Really sorry to hear about your development disaster. Would love to see what the final product was going to be. Nice work on what you uploaded though.

Really addictive game. Loved the retro sound effects you went with as it really sold the idea of your game as one to be found in an arcade. Art style was really nice and colourful whilst at the same time not being too complicated. Particularly liked your mechanics, like having the entire game upside down.

One critique from me would be the ease at which you can get a game over when trying to jump on the platforms closer to the bottom. Feel like if people were constantly getting game over for this reason you could possibly lose some players.

All in all, interesting game that really brought me back into the more retro era of gaming. Nice one guys.

Really enjoyed playing this. Was instantly hit by the music, which was perfect for the atmosphere you created. Particularly loved the moments where I was running from the enemy because of the tension that was established through their fading into existence as it chased me and the bloodcurdling screams. Also really liked your lighting system.

Something I feel could have been better was the re-spawning/resetting as I would have expected to have to run from the ghost again. This would have created more audience interaction as they have to try and remember when the ghost appears and try and beat it before it can get them.

Overall, cool game and was interesting and fun to play.

Love this!!! Amazing idea that was really well executed. Really smooth and would pay for this if it was for sale.

Only thing I can critique is that when you fall off the edge you are reset. I kept falling down and nothing happened, with my character still being able to move around. Including some kind of collision zone there that sends the character back to the beginning/ to a checkpoint would raise the game just that little bit higher.

Overall, phenomenal game that worked extremely well. Nice one.

Awesome game! Absolutely loved playing this and would definitely pay for a full game.

The visuals were great and the game had a very Mario-esque feeling to it that made it fun to play, right down to the dying at the same point and raging at it nature that Mario games bring out.

The only improvement I can think of is possibly the spacing of the spikes at certain points of the levels as they make it slightly more difficult than it necessarily needs to be for the player to pass. Additionally, something that could up the interaction with the player could be the incorporation of a lives system or health so that when they encounter the humans they are more wary and alert so that they don't die.

However, this game was amazing. You guys did a fantastic job.

Wasn't expecting this when I opened it. Really liked the spin you took by having a sword as the player and loved the sense of urgency I got when I realised I was against the clock.

I feel like having a note telling the player they are on a timer would improve the player's interaction. Initially thought the jumping was a bit high but with the platforming saw it was fine.

Really enjoyed playing this. Got to the end hoping there would be more levels. Well done guys.

Also agree with one of the below points about narrative playing a more important part i the final piece

Loved the creepy vibe I instantly got when I loaded the game and really enjoyed the audio that went alongside . Really sold the horror theme you had going.

Also liked that it was simple yet challenging at the same time, such as with the swinging blocks.

Some things I noticed is that the jumping seemed a bit sticky in the third level as I couldn't jump up onto the second platform after the swinging block,. Another thing is that in the same level I couldn't seem to jump over the first enemy after this jumping part as I was just getting sent to the beginning of the level as if I ha died. Possibly making the enemies a little smaller to make passing them at certain points more achievable?

All in all though really nice game with a really nice feel to it. Well done.
