a good attempt at a platformer withthe movement mechanics being simple and intuative though i seem to be unable to complete the first level and what you were ment to do with the people walking around was unclear due to them not seeming to do any damage other than this a great attempt at a game.
An enjoyable game, it was hard to determine what the goal was exactly with the small screen. Controls worked well and the theme fit your team name. Definitely a solid attempt at a platformer.
Overall, very enjoyable game. I love the visuals and the game was bit frustrating at specific points in the games which is perfect for this type of game. Controls in my opinion were intuitive. My only advice would be to add some music and it would be golden.
Cool game!
Visuals were decent.
I would have liked it if you could maximise the game window to make it bigger. I struggled to see what was going on sometimes. Also, when i got to the end on the first level, i would always die on a block with no spikes which was a bit frustrating.
But overall, good game.
Really enjoyed this one, quite challenging but I am a console player so..... but getting down to it the controls were very responsive and felt quite fluid, I also loved the art as although quite simple, you didn't exactly have long here still a very well done! I would say just adding in some music and sounds and you are well on your way to a game in which I might actually buy! although it would have to work on a console (PS4/Xbox 1) hehe.
Awesome game! Absolutely loved playing this and would definitely pay for a full game.
The visuals were great and the game had a very Mario-esque feeling to it that made it fun to play, right down to the dying at the same point and raging at it nature that Mario games bring out.
The only improvement I can think of is possibly the spacing of the spikes at certain points of the levels as they make it slightly more difficult than it necessarily needs to be for the player to pass. Additionally, something that could up the interaction with the player could be the incorporation of a lives system or health so that when they encounter the humans they are more wary and alert so that they don't die.
However, this game was amazing. You guys did a fantastic job.
Great game - awesome visuals! Sound would've made it even better but considering the timescale you all did an amazing job - well done! :D
Really fun game which was quite challenging (or im just bad). The game looks really clean and it plays really smoothly. I think the game need some sounds/music and maybe a moving enemy to add some variety. Solid game though, good job!
If we had more time, i would have liked to add all of that. XD
I had a lot of fun playing this! The visuals are clean and the sprites look great. The controls are responsive and the game provides a good amount of challenge. I do feel that being sent back to the beginning of the longer levels is a bit harsh but it didn't stop me from playing it for a long time.
I would have liked to keep track of how many people(?) I have eaten(?), so I'd have a reason for replaying and trying to find them all, but an enjoyable game nevertheless. I really like that you used your team name to influence your game, nice job!
If we had more levels, it would have been good to have that, but we felt that because it was short with only 2 levels it might have been a bit of a waste.
A solid attempt at a platformer, with a decent amount of challenge and level design to create a fairly engaging experience. A good idea to integrate your team name and your game to be connected. Downloading and playing the game was easy, good work all in all.
Some of your graphics seemed a bit weird, perhaps as a result of your resolution. Your character movement was responsive, if a bit rudimentary. Could you have tweaked the way the character moved to feel better? How did Nintendo make Mario's controls feel like? Finally, there were instances where it registered that I hit the spikes when it didn't appear that was the case, some hit detection testing would have been useful.
Overall, this was a good submission, and for some of you a first experience in developing a game in a team. What have you learned, what went right and what could be improved? I think that the game could have benefited from some polish, but doesn't significantly detract from the average experience.
Thank you for playing the game, yeah some of the graphics where shrunk down, becuase they where made huge. When they first made them, they where bigger then the map. I will keep the hit detection testing in mind for the future, i think we where too confident that it would all just work once we put them into the level.
A good platformer game, liked the concept of it overall of being a yeti and the background and main themes worked well, especially with the starting screen, found it challenging at times to get past some of the obstacles which made me want to attempt to get further and further ahead than I did before, would of made it stand out to me more if there was sound included such as yeti roars or background music, but other than that I still enjoyed this game.
This is a very rigid platformer that I'm a big fan of. The controls are solid, the theme is on point (good work incorporating the team name into the game), my only real critique would be that the camera is a bit too zoomed out, and the variety in camera zoom in levels feel a bit "off" for me personally. Other than that, a fun, yet difficult platformer that annoyed me a tad with the amount of spikes in the game.
thanks for the comments, when i was making it i was not sure how to change that and with the time restraint it was on the lower end of priorities
I really loved the difficulty of the game!!
thanks, i can say the same about urs
Thank you!
