Nice art work, the animations work quite well with actions and movement and the game seems to play quite well.

I love the art work in this, especially the background art which is well detailed and gives the illusion of 3D. The character designs are also well done. The music fits the game really well aswell. I love that the game has the 3D aspect which allows greater movement for the character. A few critiques are the enemy hitboxes, it often seems impossible to hit the enemy without trading your health and the lack of a block or doge. The game also lacks a goal for the player to strive towards, other than that its a good game, good job!

Please make sure your submission title has your team name in it, makes Ted's and my life easier! Definitely a surprising submission, wasn't expecting the 3D aspect of the game to be there. Visuals and graphics are very well made and polished, and lighting was very nice which gave the game a nice feeling of depth which was very useful. Player feedback is decent although I feel could be improved here and there.

I do feel like the enemies attacks, whilst telegraphed well, can feel a bit random at times. For example there would be times where I move away whilst they do the attack and I move back in whilst the attack animation is still showing. By all accounts, the attack should be over but I still get hit. Secondly, the strategy devolves into leading the enemies into a line and attacking them one by one which can feel a little repetitive at times. Finally, your environment and character art differ slightly with varying art styles. Consider how your artists come up with concepts and work with one another. You aren't just responsible for making the art, but making the art work with all of the different assets.

Overall, this is a strong submission and is fairly unique. A good effort has clearly been made and has resulting in a product that you should be proud of, with some additional work I can see this as a marketable piece of work. Well done!

Wow, this is a really impressive game! Visuals are stunning, the sprites/animations are really well made and the lighting makes everything pop. The sound effects and explosions make the attacks extremely satisfying, and I love how all the shops are 80s themed.

I do feel that it's a bit too difficult to hit an enemy without getting hit in return however. After a while it did get easier as I got used to the enemy attack patterns but I still felt a lot of time was spent running away. The score system was a welcome addition as it was easy to measure how my skill in creased the more I played - it made me want to keep on going to beat my score!

Very strong submission, really well done!

Really, really solid game.

The spritework and music is fab, and the character animations are simple and effective. Really satisfying to play, though I did run into a few issues here and there.

I tried to replicate this but couldn't, but I believe it happened from killing an enemy on the same frame their attack animation finished - the enemy would remain on-screen, still with an active hitbox and drained my health almost immediately. While it was only something that happened once, it was still something that occured.

I also think the enemy's speed could be lowered a little, or perhaps have their spawn rate lowered, as I was finding myself getting surrounded very frequently.

Aside from these little things, I had a lot of fun with this one. Well done!

A well made game, I liked that you had you instructions within the main screen which led towards the retro type style game which really stood out to me with the arcade type background music and sound effects, the characters and enemies work well and fit the main theme and even the hitting sound effects and death sounds, I even liked that you had a timer counting down and having the player move towards the screen and further away which is unique and I was not expecting it to happen I just randomly did it. Having the timer made me want to play longer and try and find out what happens when you hit 0 but I was unable to get close to it as this game was challenging for me, great job on this game!
