I ended up finding a solution by editing the canvas settings in the Unity Editor : from Constant Pixel Size to Scale with Screen Size

After that, you must edit your resolution in player settings and  the itch.io dashboard embedded manual resolution to 960 x 590

This video shows how to do it. I just tested it and uploaded a new WebGL version, and it fixed my interface issue :)

We finally found it!

It's here, in case anyone was wondering: https://itch.io/dashboard -> More -> Contributors

You add the name of your co-creator and press the button "Add admin".
This will send an invite that the co-creator has to accept.

Then, the other person can manage the game's page, edit it, upload versions, add descriptions, see analytics, etc.
As if they had created it themselves. and were seeing the page from their account page.

Same here. Even though I submitted it on time, it's not considered an official submission for  the game jam.
Not sure why, maybe the submission process had a bug or something :/

Very cool approach to design, solid controls, good music and ideas.
I got stuck a bit with the level 2, where I didn't understand  how to get to the end of the level. But I found the solution after a few tries :)

Sounds good, thanks RemKed

I have this weird bug where the interface of our game only shows up, when the user clicks  the blue "fullscreen" button. Otherwise, when simply playing in embed mode, the game interface will not show.

Any idea why? The WebGL build settings in the Editor maybe?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks skykone! I spent a bit of time trying to get the right particle effects, camera shaking and other aspects that reinforce the atmosphere :)

A simple yet  fresh approach to the wave defense genre.

With a sweet story and relatable characters (father protecting his daughter from monsters), the mechanics are simple yet effective, providing a bit of challenge with the reload of stones and the multiple enemies approaching at different heights and speeds.

Big kudos and bonus points for making the  art yourself,   abdo97z

Thanks for the review, abdo97z!

Yeah I cut it somewhat too short, with 2 min. 59 s. on the timer left. Good lesson for my next game submission I guess ;) Less feature creep and more time for polish (tutorials, menus, intro)

Sorry to hear that ivanlanc, the controls for the water pipe to move, are up and down arrows.

Definitely need to add a small tutorial or a tooltip, explaining how to use the controls. Thanks for the feedback!

Fun game mechanics, which forces you to choose between the risk of the bomb explosion and collecting the money bag. Simple yet effective, with a nice menu/anim system, and clever power ups (speed, time, double points). Congrats

Thanks for your comment. Definitely ran out of time. Good idea for the suggested tutorial and menu - Thanks!

Very cool game, with a real hand-crafted art style. Relatable, fun and with a nice  sentimental feel to it. Good job!

Super cute and chill experience. Gets difficult if you don't pay attention. Very sweet and wholesome, loved it

Simple game but keep on creating !

Beautiful setting, fun game with a very creative angle. Congrats!!

Fun game experience! Scary sounds and gritty atmosphere, nicely done. The gameplay can feel a bit repetitive after a while though, but overall very nice   effort and fun game

Beautiful presentation and fun, unique twist  on the survival wave genre. Nice job!

Added Mac build of version 1.0.1

Added 2 small fixes (left-ctrl key support and faster rotation speed) in version 1.0.1.

No other change added, as per game jam rules.

Thanks you so much ch1w1!

Those are good ideas; An intro tutorial with a small cinematic for example, followed with more & more complex puzzle/management mechanics. Food for thoughts, maybe for another game jam or a follow-up for this project \o/

Definitely! Thanks for the comment.

Initially, I wanted to have 1 type of civilians for each camera angle, in order to invent new puzzles to save them (water, air,  supplies) but I ran out of time.

Exciting and addictive gameplay, you find yourself trying over and over again, with a series of sounds that in rapid succession, makes you feel like a pro player!  Very nice mechanic with a cute pixel art syle.

Interesting take on the survival wave genre. I hope you are both  good at math and aiming.

I managed to collect a few gifts and hand them over to 1 NPC. However, the music, sound, main menu and story were great! Fun adventure showcasing a few interactive elements.

A fun survival game with interesting game mechanics (pickup coins, place defenses) but movement is a bit too slow and  it's tricky to understand where the enemies are coming from in which wave. I would increase the player movement a bit, too

Fun atmospheric experience, with no way to escape unscathed. Good sounds and general dark ambiance

Nice overall  game, good job!

1 reco for improvement: the sound effects can become a bit repetitive: maybe add a list of random attack sounds to be played instead, every time you click left mouse button instead?

Nice 2D survival  game, with  a fun game design element, where you must choose one of 3 options, each including a bad an d a good modifier. Nice original idea

Fun little 2D game that shows new learners can get cool interactive experiences done, congrats!

+ bonus points for the light but joyful story about ghouls wanting to drink   chocolate milk.

Reco for improvement: more ghouls in faster waves
