I had fun with this game even though i was not familiar at all with the main inspiration ! My only complaint is that the colors were not very readable in some levels (like the city and the one just after), while the planet level was the easiest one in this regard !
Every level ended with a little stress since the opponent bot was very close, it was super nice. Congrats for the game !
Very neat looking game, with nice gameplay. Every input has feedback on the screen and it is easy to see if we are doing something good or bad. It was especially useful to play around the chihuahua, even though i was there was a way to escape them ? (Or maybe there was one?)
Congrats for the game, i love raccoons so it was a pleasure to play !
Kind of insane game regarding the content ! Very sweet to look at, kind of stressful to play lol. I struggled a bit with the controls at first;
- a little key above each interactive items when they can be interact with would have been cool to learn easily the game
- same can be said for the platform placing, i would have put a little L key next to the icon on the screen !
Overall, i had a lot of fun ! Congrats
After seeing another playtest just now, maybe you did not get the gun yet ! (We didnt have the time to put the cursor only when you have the gun). You need to push the first box on the glass protecting the gun in level 2 to get it! My friend pushed the box in another direction and got stuck like that haha. Definitely a level design thing that could have been fixed with more playtest time :D
I launched the game without knowing what to expect, since i don't know "fantastic contraptions". Well, it is the first time i see a full editor for building a character to control during a game jam hahaha. I am not the kind of player that likes to try many builds so i mainly used the playables characters already available (thank you for making them) and i was impressed by how different they all felt to control. Yes it needs some polish, but i can see the amount of work delivered here. Wish it had at least some music in the background though!
Hi
This game was pretty simple but i ended up caught up in it! It is also very challenging
I saw that it was your first jam, so congrats on that! I think a little more gamefeel could help the game to be very nice. For ex, I'd suggest you to do the following:
- let the music play when you lose, so it doesnt cut abruptly
- add some variations on the sounds ! You can make a random on the pitch of the noise when the froggo is eating something, making it more various easily
Also, the losing condition was not obvious. At first, i thought i was eating something bad, while i just let something go off screen. A little work on that could make the game less frustrating too! Art style and music were nice too :)
The game fit well with the theme of the jam and is original on this aspect. I like the music too, and the art worked well! However, i couldnt manage to go high at all in hard mode even while spamming the mouse a lot. As said by another tester, it needed a bit more feedback to understand more how the game was reacting to our inputs! Hopefully, easy mode is indeed easy and lets you see the end of the game !
I like the physics interactions of the big objects when you made them bigger and they were colliding with each other. Overall, the game was pretty easy to complete but maybe i missed something since i never got any opportunity to use the ammo ? An inclusion of the game controls was a nice touch, thanks
I honestly did not understand what to do. The first phase where you put your atoms was okay but I felt very lost during the second phase with the platforming section.
Really nice animations for particle accelerator. Also, the jump button was not working during the first time i got in the second phase, i dont know if it was intented? But i could not do anything except walking in space lol
