Very fun, nice work!

Art is great, but if I'm being honest the gameplay feels shallow overall and more frustrating then fun. I suspect it's because you ultimately made 4 different games for the jam as opposed to focusing on one, and it feels harsh to criticize the gameplay because of that since I know that's the whole point of what you were going for haha. I do think that if you clean up the specific games to have more depth it'll improve the strength overall, for example, the first game doesn't have any real strategy to it, I would just mindlessly go back and forth shooting as much as I can. The nice thing is that if you're planning to take this further, you have a nice framework to easily add more mini games down the line if you want.
Overall the game's well made and came together strongly, my only complaint is that in the end there's nothing too unique about this game. There are countless games that exist with the exact same formula. That being said, it's a pretty strong formula haha, so nice work! I really like the effect on the ship when you teleport.
I like ideas like this where the main character is controlled by the AI and it's your job to influence them correctly. Getting that working on top of a randomly generated rouge like is ambitious, so great job having the game loop come together! In the end though, I think the gameplay feels a bit shallow, to be honest there wasn't much to the actual decision making, I'd always teleport to a chest if I saw one and the first one had the rare sword so once I equipped that I didn't really use other chests besides for heals. The weapon also seemed kind of trivial since I'd always just teleport past enemies, and the teleportation bar didn't matter either since I never came close to running out. The music also doesn't seem to loop, but that should be an easy fix haha. Overall though this is one of those games that has a lot of potential if you continue to flesh it out more, nice work!
Neat idea and there's definitely potential to flesh this out into something larger, but to be honest it feels kinda rough around the edges. I think more work needs to be done on overall balance/structure, and UI/UX. You can technically see all the information you need, but everything is so tiny and difficult to see. Those are more of my thoughts if you want to take this further though, since this was a game jam it's actually very well done since most importantly the mechanics worked as intended, great job! I especially like the artwork, the thumbnail really stuck out and is what made me pick it among a bunch of random games on the submission feed.
I really like this one! I've made games with similar controls in the past and it's fun to have such a bouncy environment. My only criticism is that restarting is a bit frustrating, if I mess up on a later stage and want to quickly redo it, I have to restart the whole game. The bounciness is fun and feels very polished, but I think it's accidently cruel since instead of destroying you to restart the level you just bounce around forever haha. I think the backbone of this game is very strong, it's fun, looks, and sounds great!
Don't apologize for the state the game is in. Jams are always hectic, even if you didn't come out with a game that fits your original vision, I'm sure you learned a lot along the way (hopefully about managing features and functionality within a limited time frame) which is what these are all about. And like I said to your original reply, don't worry about your attitude haha. It'll definitely be best moving forward to not let your temper get the better of you when communicating with others, but even taking the time to identify it and apologize shows you've grown a lot from just this. Cheers! <3
Hilarious concept haha, and the art and music really fit the idea well. Not too much to say about the gameplay, I don't enjoy quick time events too much and I think the idea can still fit other forms of gameplay. However it's simple enough to not be frustrating, and considering it's a jam I understand going for something simple like this. All in all, great work!
Fantastic game! The is one of those games that takes a lot of common ideas, but combines them in a way I don't think I've seen before. It was a fun balance trying to shoot the balls without putting too many bullets out there. The graphics were also super polished and the audio very satisfying to listen to. The only thing I'd like improved would be for the game to automatically restart once you die. Good luck!
Didn't have too much fun with this one, tbh. While there's certainly a feeling of lack of control, the gameplay felt kinda bland. I think this boils down to the level being too simple and the enemies basically just rolling around. The sprites were cool though, and I really liked the particle effects! Good luck.
The bean mechanics are definitely overkill for how the rest of the gameplay works, but to be honest I do that all the time with games I make and love to see it haha. I actually had more fun just messing around with the bean settings and just watching them grow. I think making this into a 3d platformer isn't the best fit, but there's definitely something to explore with growing plants where you can tweak the settings. Good luck!
I really like the idea of this one, but I think the mechanics need some more refinement. Personally I would have preferred the thruster input to be reversed so the arrow keys move you in the direction you press. And I think the goal post could have been a bit bigger. But the polish is pretty well done, the sprites are good, the particles are great, and the sound effects are really charming (loved hearing the little yeah haha). All in all, good work, the game certainly has potential!
Wasn't able to play myself, but I saw your game played by the man himself on his stream today! Very well made game, love the effects and gameplay. Reminds me of a game I'd play in computer class when the teacher wasn't looking haha. Good luck, I honestly think Mark may pick this to showcase in the final video.
The gameplay was a bit bland, but that doesn't even matter because this is the funniest game I've played for this jam by far, it had me laughing out loud. The idea of out of control students getting their hands on grenades and having to be put into cages, combined with the sound effects is just perfect. The intro and the tutorial are also well done. Great work!
I got 73 points. Ended up really liking this game haha. It becomes quite challenging to keep up with it all (especially with a track pad) but once I got into a good rythm and had a 2 minute streak going, I was in a good flow. The simple gameplay gave you plenty of room to polish, the music is perfect and the graphics are pretty. One thing I think can be improved is a more balanced system for determining when breads are done. Sometimes a lot of bread would suddenly be done, and they'd all burn faster than I could really react which felt a bit frustrating. But besides that, this is one of the better games I've played so far, really captures that hectic feeling. I could definitely see this becoming a popular mobile game if you expand the features a bit and add more foods or cooking devices.
The art gave off a really strong feeling of despair, and considering the subject that you were going for, I think you pulled it off greatly. However, I don't think this idea was best used in a game jam, this seems like a project that needs a lot of time to properly develop. The gameplay wasn't really there for me, I just sort of made the rounds, and the default UI felt a bit out of place with the rest of this art. I hope you do take this further though!
