Fun little story... The game seems unfinished and a little bit short, but eh... Liked anyway, so... I hope you countinue development, i guess??? 🤷♂️
(I don't really know what to say... 😕)
the game is very original and i love the game style but adding like depressing music will be nice.
This feels like an intro chapter to a great "point and click"-style game! The art and the walking animation are great, and this snippet works well without problem. It feels a bit too short in terms of story/content, but that's the kind of thing that is hard to do much of with so little time, especially when a lot of time is needed getting the basics working in a game like this. I think choosing some music for this game (eg in opengameart) to complement the art might've helped set the mood even more, though I'm personally biased towards music. The art and gameplay fit well together, great teamwork!
the game is good in terms of artistic st lye and its simple game-play but could do with more music i can see the player doesn't have a choice in terms of story but nothing really feels out of control
Good job!
Constructive thoughts:
I want inventory
I want music and sound effects
I want more!
If you have time I would love it if you could try my game and give feed back. Its called Drone.
Thank you :)
Good job!
Interesting entry. Cool Art!
Thank you :) 20 hours in procreate over the weekend haha
nice game it looks veary nice
Thank you :)
Nice use of the theme.
Thank you
I kinda wished for me to get past security by bribing my way so I tried all possibilities but there's just one correct way to win. It's a bit small, maybe if there were more places to go to, that'd be nice. Interesting story though, and great art. xD
I actually had a bribing path planned but ran out of time D:
I only wish this was longer. I also like the take of you have control after having none. Very cool
Thank you, I tried to be original as I could with the theme :)
I liked the die and retry logic, well done! I wish it was a bit longer :(
Thanks, I think wishing it was longer is one of the best compliments I could have gotten!
Nice art, and cool game. My only problem is the UI, but i'm sure in a future version of this game, that would be fixed. Good job :]
Thank you, yeah, I didn't have time to make it pretty :(
The art gave off a really strong feeling of despair, and considering the subject that you were going for, I think you pulled it off greatly. However, I don't think this idea was best used in a game jam, this seems like a project that needs a lot of time to properly develop. The gameplay wasn't really there for me, I just sort of made the rounds, and the default UI felt a bit out of place with the rest of this art. I hope you do take this further though!
Thanks! Yes the finishing touches would have helped a lot, this is my first game jam and I underestimated how brutal 48hrs is :D
the artstyle really suited the mood the game was trying to create, but I personally think you scoped a bit too large for the 48 hours you were given
You're absolutely correct, scoped too much and didn't get time to finish all the choices, though there are currently 2 endings with 4 ways to get to them, so its not as much of "just a cutscene" as you said, but still clearly unfinished
The art is cool. I enjoyed trying the available options
Also, nice theme interpretation!
Thank you Yams!
"Papers Please" but the other way around :D
Pretty cool artstyle. Not too much in the terms of gameplay but there are a few different scenarios to try out and see what happens.
Thanks :) as you can probably tell, I didn't have time to implement what I had in mind, which was originally that despite your choices there would always be a random element that could screw you over. Instead it turned into a guy trying to "get out of passport control and get control of his life back" which doesn't hit quite as hard :D
Thanks for the comment :)
I love the art style!
Thank you! 20 hours spend in Procreate :D
