Sure, at the beginning. But the music is changing while you're going through. In the end  you will be really overpowered and the tone is more epic than scarry.

It has very creative and unique idea!
The double jump near other object was difficult for me, but somehow I managed 45 score.

Thank you for your review! I'm sorry to hear you didn't notice. After every die, you will get more fire damage, speed, hp, larger view area and a secondary aoe fire mode at some point. So basically the only way to finish the game if you fail at least few times.

Good synergy of shooter and puzzle!

I like the overall feel of the game. You used the post processing very well, the story, the visuals, the levels, the ambience are good! Like the others, I also suggest to speed up the movement a little bit.

Your light around you, bloom level and the fire size on your head, damage, health, speed, indicates the character progression (but it's little in the beginning, near the end it would be huge) and the more enemy types, new skill and different music should indicate the level progression.
But you're right, I think some hints or/and progress bar should be added, to highlight the goal and progress.

None of the bugs was gamebreaking, I just want to mention for feature improvement.
Sry, I missed there is separate button for right dash. But maybe consider to use one button and the facing direction.
Yeah, when I jumping near under the platform, the spikes above killed me.

Great concept, fits for the topic!
I like the models and the overall visuals.
I found some bugs:
- the dash only works if you going to left
- sometimes I stuck on the platforms edge
- can trigger something above the platform (but maybe designed in that way)

The music is good, but a little bit short.
You did a decent job, I enjoyed for a while!

Easily one of the best game in the jam, which used the topic perfectly!
I like every aspect of this game, the traps variety, dead end, how every death leads towards, the run feature to get fast where you was before, the little story with name generation.
One minor suggestion, It would be nice if I have to hurry on way back, because collapsing the cave or something.
