A brilliant twist on chess! I really enjoyed this one. Graphics and sound come together really well, but the real star is the opponent AI that puts up a decent fight that's quite fun. Overall a polished fun game that with some amusing dialog. Were the dialog sound effects made by yourself?

Really nice art! And the puzzles were pretty fun too. The dialog system (with sound effects) was really well made, although I wish it wouldn't repeat every time I reset (or at least be easily skipped?). I have no idea what this universe is, but the overall style and story was interesting to follow. The main bedroom had a spooky vibe to it, very atmospheric.
I did indeed have to use your spoiler to beat the last level though.
I like it! Small and to the point, very easy to get into, but still a fun challenge. I only managed night 5.
- The game launches as a tiny window that's very hard to see on a high-res monitor, but full-screening is easy enough of course
- Variation of characters and weapons was fun
- Pixel art is great, and music/sound effects were good too
- Play area felt a bit unfair - often enemies were inside the trees so I could not hit them. Sometimes got stuck when I placed a tree on the edge
- Great use of wildcards
A little confusing, but cool concept. Graphics are fantastic. There didn't seem to be in-game sounds/music, but I saw volume bars? I think some alarms and heads up display would help to highlight emergencies and give direction to the player. I was resolving emergencies as best I could, but it was a little inconvenient swapping between the two screens each time. Maybe some (panicked) breathing or ship creaking to build some immersion and reflect on the current stress of the character/ship. I could see this being a fun challenge to with players having to balance their decisions against survival.
Nice puzzle game, with some quite challenging levels. The graphics, style and audio all come together quite well. My only criticism was a lot of new stuff kept appearing without sufficient explanation, but I figured it out by trial and error.
As a side note: The loading system seems to not work well on MacOS, often crashing and being very slow. But I won't hold that against you, just Godot 4 things!
Thanks! In most situations you can get out of avoidable deaths by jumping and reaching higher levels. This gives the player more time to react to changes. While it's possible to get quite far by staying on the base level, it's really easy to get into unavoidable death situations.
You're right though - it's too easy to get caught out right now and I hope to address this. Thanks for the feedback.
