A room escape game with complete elements, all aspects are well coordinated, the pixel graphics are excellent, the operation is simple, and the puzzles are interlocking. nice job!!

I enjoyed evrymuch !! The only regret is that I spent two hours and still couldn’t find the interactive way to open the door and open the box.

Really cool game! I enjoyed every part of the puzzle and most of it felt pretty intuitive. Nice job!

Thanks so much!

Hey, not bad for first time pixel art! Everything you drew was convincing, I didn't have to guess what anything was. Great entry! Thanks for sharing!

Developer

Thank you!!

This is a very nice little game. I really like the concept and the pixel art, despite its simple appearance, does its job quite well. The only downside I think is that there isn't much feedback on the player actions. Some simple effects or audio changes would have been a nice touch, as well as some kind of music/ambience for immersion. Apart from that you have done a very good job. Congrats on your entry!

Thanks for the feedback!

Great visual style, the artwork was very well done. I struggled to find all the pieces to actually leave, it would have helped to include some more visual indicators as you make progress. Overall I enjoyed this one, very cozy feeling!

Developer

Thank you for playing the game, and for the feedback!! Super happy to hear you liked the art!

This was nice! It took me a bit to figure out the books, to the point that I almost gave up, but in retrospect it seems so obvious.

Really enjoyed the variety of puzzles. Nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I almost took that puzzle out because when I designed it I kept going back and forth between being worried it was too obvious to being worried it was too complicated. But I figured if I can't decide if its too easy or too hard maybe that means its a good puzzle? Lol, so I kept it in.

I do plan to increase the volume of the audio cues for that puzzle though, I think that will help.

Gotcha, that all makes sense!

It might even be worth sending general audio to one audio bus and the important audio cues to a separate one with a sidechain compressor on the main one. That way whenever you’re playing an important audio cue, any other audio would duck out of the way to help it stick out. Just a thought!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the suggestion! I'll definitely have to do some research on how to do that and try it at some point, if not with this game, a future one for sure.

Awesome! Thought I was stuck, but got there in the end. Great escape room with some well hidden solutions.

Thanks so much!

I love escape room games. This was a lot of fun! The pixel art was great and the sound design was nice. I do wish there was a bit more feedback on things, but I understand that takes a large amount of work. Either way I was able to get to the end and I enjoyed the puzzles you created. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Yay thank you!!

Also, it's so nice to have other devs play my games, I really appreciate that you understand the work involved! My family, when they try my games, love to say "Why don't you just..." followed by something that would take days of coding and/or asset creation lol.

Haha yes!! 100%. I'm always very careful about constructive feedback because most of the time when I get it I already know about the issue and either didn't have the time or couldn't figure out a clean fix.  Anyway, loved your game. Makes me want to make an escape room game someday. :)

this is a well designed escape room, not too obtuse, but also not too obvious. great job

Developer

Thanks so much, that's exactly what I was going for! :)
