Pretty cool game, I played a solo game so I'm not sure how the multiplayer differs (Mainly just wether it's co-op or not). The game play feels fun and the shrimp is fun to maneuver, I felt like the high firerate weapon pretty much beats out every other weapon damage wise so I never bothered to use anything else outside of that, I think it would be cool if the weapons other than the starting one were tuned to compete with it a bit more
I like the graphical style alot, the neon characters are cute. I think a game that has this sort of looks could do pretty well and is very eye-catching.
The gameplay I'm a bit iffy on... The entire time I was playing I was sort of just feeling that I was only really playing because I thought the game would get more interesting (I played up to getting 6 villagers). I feel like the game ultimately is lacking possibly several elements that would keep someone engaged and playing it without realizing they're essentially just grinding their way up a tech tree very slowly, I don't know if that means it needs to be less grindy or if getting more villagers/increasing totem level needs to feel like a significant increase/change to what you are doing...
Yeah I'm not sure how I forgot WASD.... oops
To pull the curtain back a bit, the difficulty only scales on time passed twice as like you say otherwise there would be too many "oops you died lol" situations. Once you get 30 stars the purple imp characters become more accurate and faster because I'm nasty and didn't want anyone to think they could live forever.... thanks for playing!
