I really enjoy playing Shrimp game with other people. It's a very fun StarFox-versus game disguised as a marine biologist's wet dream. Fantastic game.

It's overall fun to play, what I don't like is how the aiming feels... it's kinda floaty instead of snappy like I'm used to from shooters, but it's also a "mech" game so I assume that's why it's made this way. I fused my fire stone and got an upgrade, but I had no clue what it does. It seems to swap something when I activate it (holding ALT) but I couldn't tell what. There were also a bunch of button promts that straight up didn't work. Game said press Y, but it was some different button. Game said press B but that was also some different button. The main controls were fine though, I'm assuming that's a case of german keyboard layout. But again the biggest meh factor for me was how the aiming didn't feel good.
Ah I did not read that. Yeah I have a controller plugged in, that explains it. Don't remember the sensitivity, it played around with it for a bit till it felt ok, iirc around 20. But that will also vary with dpi settings and whatnot which I never bother with. Now that you mention it I'd guess the game probably feels better with a controller. Because if I aim with a mouse I just expect perfect mouse aim like in any given FPS, allowing for flicks and such.
damn, i LOVE the underwater ruins!
i love the rays of light coming from above!
you are doing a great job
your game is far too advanced for me to give some useful feedback, so i can only nitpick
i don't really like the sound effect when my fireball hits an enemy. it sounds kind of.. metallic? which doesn't make sense.
Pretty cool game, I played a solo game so I'm not sure how the multiplayer differs (Mainly just wether it's co-op or not). The game play feels fun and the shrimp is fun to maneuver, I felt like the high firerate weapon pretty much beats out every other weapon damage wise so I never bothered to use anything else outside of that, I think it would be cool if the weapons other than the starting one were tuned to compete with it a bit more
It looks very polished and plays pretty well but honestly I wasn't super sure what I'm doing. I just swam around until some bosses spawned. It was kind of hard to tell where the play area ends, I just hit an invisible wall but I couldn't really tell from a distance. Would be nice to know as it kinda kills your momentum. I like that you can improve your stats and I get that you don't want it to pause the game but I would prefer if the options appeared instantly so you can pick something right away.
I couldn't figure out where I need to run to from the last boss' ability, what pressure does and the initial skill that's assigned to the right mouse button. I haven't really played any similar games though.
Your rmb skill is charge and release, so simply charge it until the bar is full then let go to use it. The earth ability needs you to aim at the ground.
Some of the confusion you have is definitely valid, mostly a concession to it being a multipayer first game at the moment (no pausing when choosing stats, gameplay loop, pressure etc).
Thanks for trying it!
Buncha new stuff. Some notes:
>Having a controller plugged in might make your control list display controller buttons instead of kbm. Don't be alarmed.
>Controller aiming isn't perfect yet. I recommend kbm for now.
>The new Sunken Polis map doesn't have an end game for solo mode yet. Still, check it out!
>There are secret puzzles on the Sunken Polis map... try to find them all!
>There's a playtest built up on steam if you want to play with mates:
