Interesting, but I didn't know where the laptop room was and got tazed a couple times looking for it, then I tried going in through the vents directly but got caught because the guard was right outside the door.
Also, I got stuck in a locker and fell through the world when climbing into the bin at the entrance. The character's sprite gets rotated in a weird way when lying down on the stairs.
I get that having the briefing reset on load helps to catch players up if they're coming back after a longer break, but it gets tedious to have to sit through the dialogue when reloading from getting caught, so I'd appreciate some kind of skip.
There's some stuttering issues with the initial load of the game, but I guess that's an engine-level issue. Overall, I really like the concept of it, just needs more work to bring out its potential.
Quite a few grammatical issues in the dialogue, such as not capitalizing I's and first letter of each sentence, incorrect word choice (e.g. "corrupted" politician instead of "corrupt"), etc. I suggest running your dialogue through a spellchecker. I feel like there is too much dialogue for some parts: for example, having the player character narrate that they're learning to jump and crouch in the tutorial is entirely redundant.
The loading screen was stuck at 50% for a while and was overall lengthy, and I had a huge performance drop after it finished. Spent uncomfortably long trying to find a way outside, maybe I'm stupid but I feel like it should be a little more obvious.
Pressing F to speak with the nurse repeatedly restarts the dialogue, even if I'm in the middle of it. I just beat the guard up instead of finding the vents.
I think the spritework for the world characters is fine, but the VN drawings a bit poor. I would either lower the resolution to make them match the world sprites more, or keep the resolution and increase the level of detail.
Can't say that I enjoyed this game unfortunately, maybe it's just not for me.
Love the style of this game, I had a bit a difficulty finding the guard room the first time i accidentally skipped the location hint the first time. Never figured out how to sprint, and towards the end of my run the guard got caught on the door allowing me to just waltz in.
Glad to see you again this demo day! I see you fixed many of the collision problems the game had last time, good job. I had some problems with the crawl button on the controller (I think you can't press it twice to go back to standing) so I switched to the keyboard. I like how the game mixes 2D and 3D without losing cohesion.
I had a problem with the guard in the school (around 17:10). I went up to him and talked to him. Then, I jumped over the counter to get to the other side; this got me immediately tased and sent back to the menu screen. I hadn't a save so I had to play the tutorial all over again. Then, when I got to the school again, he was standing outside waiting for me. This is probably not the intended behavior. Everything else worked fine until I had the same freeze problem as Federx but with another door (at the end).
You replaced your old computer!! very cool you could try the full demo out this time!
I saw you were trying hard to clip through anything ahahaha but i think i fixed it well this time around, i don't think that should cause issues anymore.
Maybe i should autosave the game or something once the player's out of the tutorial level, i restrained the hotzone to the guards room and behind his counter to keep that from happening to the player, but you jumped over and he got angry with you. But yeah he shouldn't have stayed in the alert state after reloading the level, i'll look into it
Yeah, i already posted a hotfix to fix the door and the clipping in the kitchen issues but you must have downloaded the game before i added it.
Weird stuff with the controller too, it works with both of mine but yours is a logitech i never tried so it might be causing this issue somehow?

Interesting, the visuals remind me of Going Nowhere: The Dream.

to sprint, you have to press L3 (the joystick) i don't know if you've tried it or if it didn't work for you
Yeah that type of stuff still happen, that time though the navigation isn't to blame, but the way the door doesn't open for the guard
I see you're an activate windows chad and a teabagging enjoyer. i kneel

Thanks for the video and for trying the game out!
the guard doesn't really "check" the rest of the room
you can just drop in there and he'll go away quickly
sometimes it's finnicky to "vault" across the barrier with the jump button
you forgot to add collisions to some cabinets in the kitchenfinally, checking out this door softlocked the game for me
cute girls, i wish there were some more enemies you had to stealth than just the one
next update hopefully, i want to work on th alert modes and on improving the enemy AI next
