Hey, didnt expect a comment from you! Yeah just posting some uni projects, I don't really work on 2D games as much anymore, mainly prefering to stick to 3D animation and asset design as of late, hope you're well!

Nice concept but the fact the fish stay in the level after restarting meant that level got harder, i essentially got punished for failing, this was only mainly an issue with the sticky fish, also the jetpack fish is essentially useless, worth buffing the jetpack.
but i did have a fun time playing the game and it was a good concept!
My feedback!
good: Okay let's just get this out of the way now, your game has the best looking graphics out of every submission. The 90's aesthetic is very apparent and looks polished enough that i'd assume it was made by a big company, everything fits together well, even the minor things like window reflection and grass patches look so pleasing to the eyes. graphics 11/10
bad: It's clear that it's in it's prototype phase, small play area, no interactions, no music. I won't go into detail since we all know that these cons won't be there if/when the prototype production gets finished (which i hope it does cuz i'd legit pay money for this game if it has a cool story)
bug report: Since there's not much but movement to do so far, the only real bugs i can find are stuff like, some places you can fully clip through walls and just sit inside them, and objects like the lamp posts and traffic lights don't have collisions.. other than that, the only thing i could find is if you hold a movement button and while holding it, press another one, the sprite animation will stop and just glide.
Overall: solid game, just needs more time to add the necessary things.
Thanks for your feedback!
I appreciate your kind words, They are very heart warming and make my time not feel waisted. As for the critiques, I do agree that the controls feel a little awkward, I was originally going to have the controls be W A S D, like most other games, and hmm from your comment I think maybe a control change option should be a good idea so thanks for pointing that out to me, that's an oversight on my part. And yeah the text was admittedly rushed haha..
For the bugs part, Yeah that's a very common bug everybody experienced with my game, I'm trying to think of the best solution since insta killing you doesn't feel fair or fun, and pushing you out can sometimes be exploited to push you up above the intended path.. But yes, I will try and fix that ASAP ^^
Thanks again!
Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate the kind words too..
I agree that a ghost platform to indicate where the platforms could be is a really good idea. I have thought about this idea but with all the feedback i've gotten, it seems the game is a bit too hard so I think I will implement some sort of feature like that.
Thanks for the extremely thorough feedback! its very much appreciated,
I agree that the game demo is quite difficult for newer players, this was an oversight on my part while trying to compact a whole game into a single level, when expanding the game, i'll be sure to make a lot more levels with easy transitioning to hard difficulty.
replying to all your bug reports, I agree with the fact I could've made more animations for falling and jumping, It just wasn't my highest priority given the time scale, i'll be sure to add those in when further working on my game.
and yeah the getting stuck in blocks is really common unfortunately, i'll try think of a fix to that soon.
Again thanks for the helpful feedback, its very insightful and appreciated
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
I noticed that bug too, I'll try and fix it ASAP, I just need to find a way to fix it.
And yeah that's the style of character I was going for so thanks for noticing!
I'll hopefully be adding in a bunch of different sound tracks and levels to make the game longer and more diverse with its soundtrack, and I'll take your hint idea into consideration too! Thanks again!

good: i like the concept of the game, it's pretty original and i like the sound design, it works well with the game,
bad: i'm not a fan of the pixel art, although i can tell what the sprites are which is a good thing, some of them seem a little unpolished.
bug report:
after the first go of mining it auto kicks you out even if you don't click anything. i'd say its inbetween a class C and a class B.
overall a decent game :)
feedback
good: the sound design is incredible, and the sprites and general theme of the game is absolutely stunning. I love the visual and audio side of the game.
bad: not a fan of the lack of health regen, the dog crow things that shoot out from the left are almost impossible to dodge, and even if you reach the boss fight, i couldn't manage to beat it since the damage is too overwhelming. thats if you avoid every ice giant. doesn't take away how good it looks.
bug report:
the only one i could really find is if you move to the left of the level when the game starts, the health bar moves to the left as well. so props to not having any other bugs. this is a class C bug, doesn't happen anywhere but the very start and doesn't effect the game at all.
overall a really good game
feedback
good: i like the level design and art style, I think it works really well with when this game is set. the gun shooting also has a really smooth feel to it
bad: i didn't like the fact there was no music, or any sound effects. it kinda takes away from the feel of the game.
bug report:
you can shoot through some doors and walls to kill enemies, and i don't know if this is intentional but some doors just won't open. class C bug since its kinda rare which walls you can shoot through.
overall, pretty decent game
feedback
good: i like the soundtrack, it fits really well into the theme of the game, also the background looks amazing
bad: not a fan of the final dogfight, it was too tricky to hit 3 bullets on the small target.
bug report:
on the first level you can jump off the right side of the map and land on invisible platforms
overall a really good game
feedback
good: I like the old classic film aesthetic, the grainy screen helps it well. also the concept of the game is really good. i like it
bad: the player blends in with the background a lot so it's hard to see where the player is a lot of the time.
Bug report:
some of the time the words overlap with eachother, making it impossible to read sometimes.. Class B bug i'd say since it makes it hard to read and stops the player from progressing properly.
overall decent game :)
feedback
good: like the music, catchy and not annoying to hear.. also the assets are very visually pleasing.
bad: you can just stand by the tent and spam spacebar and they can't leave
Bug report:
if you die and in the black screen press space bar you can kill the enemies that killed you and the count goes up, this is a class C bug, i had to search for this bug and it doesnt impact the game at all really
overall decent game
Feedback
good: I liked the shooting and movement, it felt smooth and was fun to play, the player and enemy graphics also look really nice!
bad: Wasn't a fan of the fact enemies survive for like 0.5 seconds after i shoot them
Bug report:
if you shoot before clicking start game you can hear it.. class C
not sure if it was intentional but the ammo count stays after you die, so you can respawn with no bullets... class C again, hard to find the bugs so props to you
overall good game
