OK, I've looked into a few things, it seems some files are missing, not from the 64-bit version, but from the 32-bit version of the Visual C++ Redistributable, so try to install that if you haven't already. Here's a link, just in case.
Or, as noted by this dev (check the Q&A section), another option is to install the Pixel Game Maker MV demo from Steam here, since it comes pre-packaged with all the neccessary runtimes.
I hope this fixes your problem, and tell me how it goes. :)
Great! Art is super good and gameplay feels nice.
Only two wierd things I encountered were when I accidentally dropped a bottle on top of the mixer. (The cursor prioritizes the mixer, so getting the bottle back can be slightly annoying.) And when you access the options menu during a lewd scene, then exit the menu, the mouse cursor dissappears.
The buttons only reacting to hover in the main area and vice-versa is a bit jarring.
These are very minor things, however, as I had a blast playing it! Character design is both cute and sexy and gameplay feels good & addicting.
Always plesant to see tentacles. ;)
Movement felt just fast enough, neither too fast nor too slow.
Animations look great and on point, the sketchbook style is nice too.
My only real gripe would be the camera, as it only scrolls when you are at the edge of the screen, which feels off.
Overall, very nice!
Very nice. I can only really think of small things to improve
One: Sound.
Two: The game likes to throw a lot of stuff at you in chunks (like ten things in rapid succession, and then nothing for a while, repeat), some ebb and flow to the obstacles might be nice.
The character was cute and I liked the gameplay itself, controls were difficult to get a grasp of at first, but felt very nice once you got the hang of it.
2 nitpicks: Horizontal camera movement feels too slow compared to vertical. Shift key is used to run, would probably be a good idea to communicate that on the control board at the start.
Love the idea of a maze with statues, I found myself cross-referencing where I was by the statue design often.
A bit short, with no real end, but on the other hand, it never felt like it got too confusing or overstayed it's welcome either.
Two oddities I noticed:
1- The passive notoriety reduction adjusts properly by 6 as on the tooltip, but the text says it decreased by 1.
2- Summoning ritual percentage feels off, even at 20% you succeed almost every time (upgrading felt like it dropped the success rate, but that might be luck).
The story was fun, I liked the characters, and the confessionals were cute (haven't tried messing them up yet, though XD).
The gameplay is fun, if maybe a bit grindy, but hey, that's to be expected of the genre.
Well, It's certainly... unique.
My main issue is that the movement feels way to slow.
Also, apologies if I'm wrong but I'm not sure if you made the artwork/videos/audio yourself?
The gimmick of not looking at anything lewd is interesting at least. The enemies made me laugh, love them!
Also, I don't THINK it was intentional to let me Skyrim up my way on top of the tree at the end, but at least I had fun doing so.
Hi! Just wanted to drop a suggestion for future jams since you asked: Would it be a good idea to have the jam end after the weekend?
It could start either on a Monday or be a 9- day jam?
That way you would have plenty of time to plan and make your game.
Either way, it's cool to see something NSFW focused, hope to see more in the future. :D
Hello. So sorry for the delay. I hope it's not too late to post this:
