very spooky chords and instrumentation! this has a lot of atmosphere and riffs rather than emphasis on melodic progression, and i think it works very well. i also thought the accelerando into the tonicization at around 2:40 was pretty neat. great job overall! :)))

ooo i like the choices of instrumentation here, and the various musical ideas throughout. i REALLY enjoyed the chord progressions at 1:09, stuff like that is my jam. if i could ask for anything more, it'd just be a more powerful/full sound (maybe stronger bass section?). regardless i really enjoyed this overall, awesome job! :)))
very cohesive theming here; the drums have great drive and aggression, the choral parts are done in a nice way that augments the feel without being overpowering, and that guitar goes *hard*. im a big fan of the Doom Eternal soundtrack, so i enjoyed a lot of what you did here, especially the little breakdown at 1:16 and incremental crescendo into full sound again, and the call-and-response at 2:36. i enjoyed listening to this, and it fits the theme perfectly. awesome job overall! :)))
this was wonderful, i just wanted more! it was building up and building up...and then it ended ;_;
with that said, you did an outstanding job with the incremental layering of instruments, the use of ostinato, and the overall choices of instrumentation for each part. the chords were also perfectly fitting of the theme. i enjoyed listening to this, awesome job! :)))
i did a double take at the start, i wasn't expecting to hear such a full level of production! great job with the guitar work, and the string section had a nice, mysterious/unsure progression to it that i felt was fitting. i'm a big Castlevania fan, so i'm definitely a bit biased hahaha; the bit at 0:40 and 1:54 definitely felt reminiscent of Vampire Killer, without being overtly referential. awesome job! :))
lovely spooky chord progressions, especially in the B section! the strong bass drum (?) impetus and low melodic lead reminded me a lot of "Cold Smile" from Mega Man Zero 3, a track i'm pretty fond of. this was very well done, and very impressive that this was mostly done with just MuseScore! awesome job :)))
holy shit this goes crazy! i know im biased because chiptune stuff is special to me, but this is just so full and vibrant and you even took the time to make a neat album cover and backstory. looks like i wasnt the only listener who thought of shovel knight too.
i especially like all the little gliss effects, trills, and runs; they add so much character to chiptune pieces. that short ascending->descending riff in the intro was also a great way to lead into the melody. awesome job! :)))
i rather like the variety of drum riffs! and i think the melodic progression is dark and high-energy enough to fit theme. i personally think it just needs a little stronger bass/harmonizing sounds (but maybe that's just personal preference, haha), but overall i think this was very well done, despite your misgivings about trying out a different genre. great job! :)
the use of foreboding choral chanting immediately reminded me of music from the souls series, so given your description, i could absolutely see this having a place in Bloodborne. it's rare for me to find big orchestral tracks that don't sound very synthetic, especially when it comes to vocal stuff, so i found this to be very impressive. awesome job! :)
ooo i like the bass and the main motif, definitely has the aggression i'd associate with a boss fight. and the low, rumbling variation of the theme around 1:20 really hit the spot for me.
the grating waveform of the higher-pitched instrument and its occasional distortion work, so i think just a little extra balancing/normalization could help to bring it all together. great job overall! :)
big fan of the borrowed chords! having a bass foundation in major with occasional minor/diminished chords in the accompanying sounds creates a nice sense of occasional unsettlement. the vibes and groove are pleasant to my ear, and i enjoyed listening to it (a couple of times, actually). good stuff! :)
