This is the first puzzle game I've played so far where I actually felt like it was a puzzle rather than just a hurdle. At times I had some trouble finding out which of the lit up tiles I could actually stand on, but nothing too crazy imo. The soundtrack felt a little odd at first, but I actually really liked that. Favorite OST I've heard so far in this jam.

Hey some clarification here.

I just found out that the reason all webbuilds are a little weird to play has to do with my browser, OperaGX. When playing again on Microsoft Edge just now the speed was just fine.

The most action packed game I've played so far. Dying felt a bit annoying bc it meant I'd have to spend a while making my way back to the big building. I think the lighting at the end was done very well. Congrats on that!

The demon sounded cool but spoke really softly so I had a hard time hearing their exact words

Who is this dude that he makes a suited up kidnapper Wilhelm scream just by showing his face? I may never know. I do know that I like this goofy ahh intro to a game where I throw fireflies and use echolocation to locate papers that are hidden behind yeetable chairs. I am not so sure about the puzzle part of the game. I felt that simply throwing a light forward and then scanning for papers before repeating those steps was enough to get me trough anywhere unless I messed up my throws. I still enjoyed playing and that's what matters imo. Well done!

I like the aesthetic of this game. I also like collecting and playing as different little people. Unfortunately it wasn't until I started my second playthrough that I found out about there being other people. Altogether it's a simple concept made pretty. Well done!

The sound of stunning the ghost police with your flashlight got me every time. My one thing is that the movement felt really slow. This may have something to do with my pc not doing great on webbuilds though. Completed the game with a score of 3660 no cherries. Fun lil take on pacman!

Gotta love a nice duck game. I think the idea of bathing the duck in light before it's ready to walk trough the dark is a nice way to interpret the theme of the jam!

I always enjoy bouncing projectiles. And the concept of a bat throwing torches is derpy as heck and I love it. It was a bit upsetting when the torches bounced in weird angles though, made me feel like calculating my angles wasn't worth it because rng would take over eitherway. I still think the game was fun though so gg on your first gamejam!

A simple to understand concept like this makes the puzzles quick and fun to play! I felt that some puzzles could be cheesed a little by putting my little light buddy up against a block so that their light got blocked almost 180 degrees. I think that might be a tough one to balance out though, you'd need working mirrors or transparent blocks or something. Either way it didn't take away from the lighthearted fun that this game provides. I liked it!

Thanks, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

That's very kind tysm <3

Very interesting concept, I wish I could have found my way to the market. I am unsure whether I went the right way. I think I got outside at some point but it didn't really sound like the outside.

My pc couldn't really play this game at great fps which gave me more time to look at every single frame and see how gorgeous the textures and little blue orbs were done. Maybe I'm bad but I couldn't find if the game had any other objectives or an ending other than death. Sometimes there is fun in simplicity though.

I like the arcade vibe this game gives off. The story lacks a bit of substance in my opinion. The different movement options are big part of what makes the combat interesting to me. Enemies are fast, but you can move and jump around the place just as fast. I think that works well for the intensity of the gameplay

Easy to understand mechanics that make for fun puzzles. Got a little annoyed at cases where I failed because things just barely scrape each other. But other than that I had fun!

Fair question, for some reason I can't leave ratings. But my groupmate can, so I'll leave one trough him!

I love me some stylized visuals with easy to understand but tough to complete puzzles. I died about 8 times while crossing the road. Which, for the record, is completely on me for expecting cars to slow down for a ghost kid. Fun game!

I hadn't read the instructions so it took me a minute to figure out how to play. I enjoy these types of graphics a lot and the ramping difficulty too. This game reminds me of 'The Other Side' from 'Unsorted horror'. I liked it :)

I like the atmosphere. Also the movement is forgiving without making everything too easy. Good stuff!
