Saw a lot about this game in the discord as it was being developed and i must say finally playing it it doesnt dissapoint! The combination of really solid mechanics and intellegent level design make this game really fun to play! It also fits both the no ui and light nd darkness themes perfectly :)
Fun little platform game :-)!
Nice concept with the lights and platforms that are traversable or not. It also gave some fun mini puzzles to be solved during play. Maybe could be a bit longer or bit more challenge in a future update with more lamps connected or even maybe different colored lamps for different traversable platforms. Even maybe some enemies :-)..
The visual pixel art style was cute and the lights did a lot to give it a good visual vibe. Sound/audio was ok.
There was some stutter when I reached a new waypoint, but overall it was a smooth experience.
Theme was incorporated and no UI. Good :-)! Had fun playing it until the end.
Well done! Keep it going!
thank you for playing and reviewing, I was also thinking about making colored lights
Great puzzle game! i would love to know how you did the platform light magic, but that's not going to be fun :)
This game reminds me of Abe's Oddworld and I enjoyed it a lot.
actually the platforms weren't that difficult it's just that I had to make good level design to hide the way it actually works, it just disables the player's collisions whenever you're in the light (in light's range and in line of sight) and that's also why the one way platforms work, I just went "it's not a bug it's a feature"
Nice game! I liked it. I was finally able to turn off my brain and relax (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜
I especially liked the silly jump animation.
Maybe it's just me, but I noticed FPS drops from about the middle of the game.
Good luck!
thanks, im not sure about the fps drops
Great little game for a game jam. It was easy to pick and play and I think the duration was good.
One thing I would've liked to see was some kind of ending cinematic or reward screen.
thanks for playing
Fun game. Made me think without being impossible and I like how you made platforms 1/2 in light and 1/2 in shadow jump-through.
This is the first puzzle game I've played so far where I actually felt like it was a puzzle rather than just a hurdle. At times I had some trouble finding out which of the lit up tiles I could actually stand on, but nothing too crazy imo. The soundtrack felt a little odd at first, but I actually really liked that. Favorite OST I've heard so far in this jam.
thanks! yeah the way I implemented the light mechanic could have been better but i didn't have much time
the level design is nice
Good implementation of the theme and level design is very good!
another 2d platformer, I'm not saying it's bad, but there are just too many of them, so also the implementation of the theme is quite primitive, but the game is beautifully drawn and cool music!
thanks , do you mean implementation like the concept with the light and darkness or actual implementation?
I was one of the first one who tested this game. The level design with great mechanic was genius!
thank you and thanks for testing it!
i like the mechanic the switch,i likeall
I liked the mechanic, first levels were pretty straight forward (which is good imo, when no ui is required), but later levels had also some puzzling as well. Solid style and nice background, overall good entry! ++
thanks!
The light mechanic is very nice, and the levels are pretty good too. Also was it just me or does the music react to the gameplay at some points?
yay thanks for noticing its in the first and last level
the jump and light/darkness mechanic is pretty weird
sorry if it was confusing, i tried to get around the funkyness with level design but it might have not worked everywhere
