this is such a fantastic idea for a game - and very well executed!  the graphics are quite lovely, and the puzzles are quite challenging - I like that!  it's not always obvious that the player has run out of fireflies because there's no audio cue and (more importantly) there doesn't seem to be a way to see how many fireflies are left once you've passed a certain point in the level.  also, as the comment below mentions, some music would be a nice touch.  but other than that, I was really impressed!  👍

thanks for the feedback will take these into consideration in my other projects👍

Nice puzzle exploration game with a story.
Good use of the theme with light and dark.
Fun levels to explore and find the doors and use the fireflies.
Nice pixel-art visual and sfx checked.
Maybe a nice ambient soundtrack would add to the overall ambiance.
Well done and keep it going with your next game!

Who is this dude that he makes a suited up kidnapper Wilhelm scream just by showing his face? I may never know. I do know that I like this goofy ahh intro to a game where I throw fireflies and use echolocation to locate papers that are hidden behind yeetable chairs. I am not so sure about the puzzle part of the game. I felt that simply throwing a light forward and then scanning for papers before repeating those steps was enough to get me trough anywhere unless I messed up my throws. I still enjoyed playing and that's what matters imo. Well done!

Developer

thank you im glad you enjoyed the goofy cutscenes and sfx, if it wernt for those there mightve been better levels and mechanics but i feel i had a pretty good balance in the end. glad u liked it

I wished I said more becuse there is a lot more I like, how you can shoot the light how you have to be smart with where you use the light ect. But long story short, thank you for the game and NP.

Amazing game, Im impress you able to do this much within couple of days.

I really liked this game, because it had a story, unlike the most other games in this game jam. Also cool idea that you can see the things like papers with "space" for a short time. Good job overall!

tanks I was planning on adding more story but I couldn’t bother making all the cutscenes lol glad u liked it

Maybe the chair picture was a mistake. When I turned on the light, the chair disappeared

Developer

do you mean that the lights disappear when you click on or past the chair cause you have to hold so that you shoot the light. The regular fireflies are made to despair when hitting a wall but if it’s not that then sorry bruh

Very impressive that you were able to have a story for a week long jam. Mechanics are pretty clever, I think it bugged on the level with multiple rooms, I could not enter the door.

Developer

to go to the next level you must find all the proof stuff like papers and the gun. You should hear a check sound when that happens and if you find them all you could move on to the next lvl. Sorry it was hard to make it clear without ui bruh. Thanks
