Really Fun Game! I love how quickly the difficulty ramps up and the simplicity of the game overall. Very quickly got used to the controls and enjoyed the subtle screen shake mixed with the nice audio and sound effects. Personal opinion but there could be some potential to implement some obstacles in the level or even have different level layouts that you could get by opening the doors.

Great Game! It was fun to try to survive as long as possible. Couple things Id suggest is to potential being able to still break resources when the pickaxe is broken, it felt alot of my time was spend ensuring I had the resources to always repair the pickace rather than wait for 12 am which slowed down the pace of the game alot. Potentially add sound effects for breakable items rather than whenever you are just swinging the pickaxe to make it more clear that you are breaking something. I was really impressed by the crafting and inventory system as well as the random map generation. Overall fun game!

Fun and simple game. I liked the different textures for the various maps. Maybe my brightness was too low but sometimes the small lighting in the maps made it hard to see the obstacles (which may be what you were going for) but I didn't love that aspect. Would love to see other controls being implemented such as sliding, and maybe explicitly telling the player they can double jump since I did not find that out until after I failed a significant amount of time. I liked the audio and sound effects, and the door collision was a nice touch. Overall really well made, just a few touch ups I suggest. Maybe even adding some platforms that you can use could be an interesting idea .

Thoroughly enjoyed the game, could definitely see myself continuing to play it, but had a weird (maybe expected or not) bug that the game no longer allowed me to progress after a certain amount of levels, the door opened but I did not progress to the next room. Also I think background music could be a great quick little addition, but the audio effects were nice. Also, I'm not sure if I was just unlucky but there seemed to be a greater probability to get health rather than fighting bosses, I really wanted to test out the weapons but I rarely saw many bosses. In summary, I think this game was really simple yet extremely fun, and I also love the changing of textures on the tiles.

The theme was spot on! I genuinely caught myself asking "whats behind this door" everytime! I like the procedural generation of the map, it makes for a fun new selection of rooms each time and the randomness of the items in the chest. Also I really enjoyed the difficulty, not too hard but definitely had me questioning a few of the words a couple of times. For improvements, potentially a few additions such as background audio, the length of killing an enemy through punching was tedious, maybe reduce hitpoints. Overall, extremely grasping game, it had me hooked, Great job!

Really enjoyed this game. i actually got anxiety whenever I had to sacrifice a character in order to move the other one to a better position, I really liked that contrast! The concept was new for this game jam which I really liked. I would say the character did feel a little stiff to control. The constant cannon firing audio was slightly annoying. But overall a really good job! I'd love to see more levels :)

Very impressed considering you made everything from scratch! I didn't love having to choose a new weapon without having the option to continue on with my current one and maybe this is due to my poor skills but a couple of the maps would often lead you into a corner and I'd have no shot at getting out without sacrificing a life, possibly look into expanding the map to be slightly larger. But overall, this game was phenomenal, the screen shake was a nice touch to feel the impact of the gun. Also, not sure if it was intended but the machine guns spread was quite large and it felt slightly lower than where my mouse was pointing. I am being very picky but that's because this game is very well made and hopefully my suggestions could take it to the next level (or make it worse, if thats the case... my bad lol). But ya, not overpowering audio was great and the diversity of the enemies given your time frame was enjoyable.

I love the music and the sound effects, they are simple but provide alot to the overall game feel. Of course this game was cleanly finished , no issues with movement nor with game-breaking bugs. Hard to be picky, but if there's anything I'd improve is probably creating more red-hearings within the puzzles, everything was fairly straight forward, but honestly that is a very subjective thing. Overall the entire game feel was great and had a fun time playing!

Honestly really impressed by this game! to think this was your first Game Jam is kinda phenomenal. Everything was polished and the docs were well made to help explain the game further. I did find not being able to skip the audio tedious but the player movement was so clean and enjoyable to use, same with the gun gameplay. A lot of others have mentioned the difficulty which I can agree with but I don't necessary think that is a bad thing, potentially adding a difficulty option could relieve this issue. Great Game!

I really enjoyed the game overall! I love the combinations of the screen shakes and the immersion you feel while playing. Had a werid bug where the mouse Input started to go haywire in the middle of the game. Also I think there could have been slight more innovation with the idea of what's behind the door, but that's just me trying to be picky and give some advice. In summary, great game!

Controls are really smooth, personal opinion but i'd like to move around slightly faster and the key itself would block me from moving. Overall really innovative concept and I would love to see you expand further on this game!

Will be playing and rating games, send your link :), I participated in this game jam with a team of two others and we created the following game (had to upload windows build on my own account because we forgot to upload that version to the submissions lol)

Windows: https://paul-kokhanov.itch.io/awake-again

MacOS: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-11/rate/2536012

see my comment, sorry about that

I worked alongside tanavast to create this game, unfortunately we messed up and only published the MacOS build, on my profile I have included the windows build
