mmh, shovel-like. But what if I like cube more than shovel?

Jokes aside, it was a great experience, especially after the initial hurdle of learning the game.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep those in mind. And thanks for playing!

Funny

(1 edit)

I had a great time playing! The variety of cars was a great addition. However, you could get by with just the basic car (like I did). I had 149 and 148 on my first attempts and I only used the basic car.

Like everyone else is saying, great visuals! But there's nothing describing the objective of the game, nor is it really seem to go along with the theme. And I never understood what the "potion" was for. Also, great audio, I can see it being played in the background as white noise.

A great product for a 48-hour jam. I really liked the origin of the concept!

A very unique idea! It was quite interesting to play. The only thing I can point out is that you can still open locked doors even without the key (Unless the key is for something else that I'm not getting).

Thanks! I had the base game finished pretty quickly, so most of my time went to those two systems.

I forgot to mention that in the description, sorry about that.

The scoring system is just really simple, you get 1 point to spend on upgrades every 30 seconds you stay alive. Hope that clears it up.

Thanks for playing!

Interesting idea, my friend speedran it and did it first try.

It was pretty funny, good job.

Very simple idea! Great minds think alike:tm:

A great idea! It is annoying that you have to press 1 to go back to the player before landing on the platform. But besides it being pretty difficult, it's seems pretty well made.

Was very fun, and very easy to get into! Great job, had a blast while playing it! As the narrator (or you??) say "this hurts my head" is what happens, especially once you reach 15 fish. Very creative application of the theme!

SFX were very fitting but was quiet in comparison to the music. Speaking of the music, was it made using BeepBox? The instruments sound very similar.

Overall, this was a pretty good entry!

Thanks for the feedback! I never really did think about allowing the player to heal, but I might add that and/or other things after the jam's voting session is over.

Is very addictive, especially when you roll very high numbers one after the other.

318 dice were lost in the process of development

This was a pretty interesting take for the theme. Was pretty fun, but constantly fishing does get a bit tiring and annoying at times. Would be nice if the fishing was a bit faster than it was (I know of speeding up and slowing the hook down).

Overall this was pretty fun! Would seem interesting if you could play with multiple people. But that's a whole thing of itself. Great Job!

Played for about 10 minutes, was very enjoyable!

I did find one bug with slowwalk: the UI counter for slowwalk doesn't *visually* go down, and you cannot turn around whenever you have slowwalk. This did create really annoying moments, but with the right movement dice everything was fine.

Overall it was really fun to play, pretty simplistic which allowed for the player to get started right away. Great job!

Looking forward to seeing how to added randomness to golf!

Random stats, and having the ability to control the difficulty is a very nice addition. The room transition does seem a bit.. strange, as you have to continue walking offscreen for a little while before you actually transition to another room.
One pretty large issue that I found is that the boss replays its death animation over and over (infinitely). And the boss also infinitely spawns health potions. The boss's hitbox is also enabled during this and allows for the player to push the "dead" boss around.

yes, those are actual *pickup-able* health potions, not just an infinite number of sprites.
Sorry if you already knew these bugs existed, just thought that it should be brought to attention, in case that you wish to fix or update your project in the future.

Thanks for the feedback! I have updated the game after submission, so some issues that may be found are already fixed and much more. And I plan on updating after the Jam's voting process is over
