Amazing concept and execution. Well done. It always baffles me how fast you design and make these little games

I'm absolutely thrilled that someone made a video on a game that I made. Thank you so much :))

Oh, and you are using some techniques there that I didn't even anticipate, great job!

TF i'm playing ahahaha lol

Wow, this is very polished for just 3 hours. It's small, obviously, but it feels like a complete game. Congrats!

A lot of juice on this one. The idols feel heavy with the SFX and their physicality, the little guys dancing even though they are planting bombs on people as in an authoritarian and desensitized government -- or maybe I'm imagining things? Props to you either way! Great work!

Thanks a lot!!!

Haha, I hope I didn't wake up your neighbors. Thank you for playing!

Thank you!

That's right! I couldn't remember what game of my childhood I was taking inspiration from. I remember it came in a CD with a bunch of other games in a game magazine. Thank you for playing :)

I played so many times to see the red turret popping zombies haha. I think it will feel amazing with particles, blood, and zombie sounds. The difficulty curve definitely needs some adjustment. Thank you for playing!

Oh wow! Thank you! I was afraid it was too hard for everyone else but me, because I played so much. Happy to see that this is not the case :))

I love how chill it is.  The music fits perfectly. Great work!

Were you able to finish it? I can finish it without trouble, but I'm biased because I played a lot while developing. Maybe the difficulty is a tad too high?

The gameplay is very effective, and although the visuals are simple, I think they work well. Great work. Congrats!

Is this hand-painted? I love it!

Oops. Maybe you forgot to upload the build?

I like it! Writing code is a mechanic that most of us enjoy I believe :). I think that fighting the bugs could be improved, maybe using the keyboard to delete or rewrite the buggy parts. Also, I couldn't see the whole game screen. I could see that there was a line above that I should write but I couldn't see it. Anyhow,  great work!

Nice! There's a degenerate strategy, which is to just press up and down as quickly as possible during the day, but great work for the time frame.

I love the art style. Good work!

Great work. Very original. Congrats!

That's a lot of work in just three hours! Shooting the zombies is very satisfactory, though a little hard when they are on the sides. I got a bug where I couldn't move the character, but reloading the page fixed it.  Good work!

Game juice does make a lot of difference, and there's lots of it here! However, the difficulty got a little unfair in the last 2 seconds compared to what was pretty easy so far. Good work!

Thank you! I agree. There are quite a few little things that I wanted to add that would make all the difference in the game. But after 10 hours, I figured it would be best to submit hehe

Oh wow! Thanks a lot! I hope you enjoy it ;)

Thank you!!

All true! I think I should have gone with a simpler setup to make the game more accessible and fun, allowing me to have more time to polish aspects like sound effects and particles.

The game even has some depth. Each kid has their own house, and they 'cry' when the player steals their ice cream. If a cop passes by a crying kid, they will start looking for a suspect for a while and then stop. I believed that incorporating all of this would introduce a strategic element to the game, requiring the player to sneak around. However, there's no indication of none of that happening in the game whatsoever.

Anyway, thank you for your detailed feedback :)

I feel dizzy

Loved the retro neon style

Made me laugh

Nice

Any way to make it work on a ultrawide screen? Tried Alt + Enter but couldn't resize the game screen

Made in one day? Legit impressed, great quality. Mind if I ask where you gathered the assets from?

Honestly, one of the best games I have seen that were made for the Trijam

Thank you! That's great to hear

You know, I like that idea. Maybe I took the theme too literally. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks! Yeah, I had some plans to make the game more challenging (and add a highscore system too), but the time just ate me
