Fun game-loop! I like that we both went with a 1-bit color palette that switches at night. The salmon and blue palette is a very nice contrast. The art is simple and pretty, I especially like the cloud poofing away. I enjoyed the music changing at night to be more intense, but the same instruments. Satisfying controls, and I like how the gameplay during night/day is entirely different.

Developer

Thank you so much for all your kind compliments!

I guess day/night duality just naturally calls for a 1bit colour palette :D

Thanks again for commenting and playing!

loved the concept and the sun-moon cycle ...not a big fan of mono colors ..because i get confused what is what ....but that's my bad ...nice game for the jam!

Developer(+1)

Yes, monochrome isn't easy, that's true. Generally speaking, I don't know if it's something I particularly like, but I wanted to try it out and I think the graphics are pretty good. But it's true that it can quickly become confusing on screen!

Thanks for playing and commenting!

I love the minimalist art style. Even the music is excellent, particularly the day time music. It has this strange feeling like something is wrong, which gives the whole game an eerie feeling.

The gameplay is nice too. Very simple, and it's very satisfying to play.

Developer

Thank you ! Yes, I really wanted the music of the day to announce the drama to come in the middle of the night. As if we needed to know that building a tower that high wasn't allowed. It wasn't easy to make music in such a short space of time, so I'm pretty proud of the result :D Thanks again for your comment!

Loved this! Very intuitive and the music fit perfectly. It does get rather tough when you have only a SLITHER of tower at the top though!  Visually your choices were also spot on.

Developer

Thank you very much for your comment!

It's true that it's complicated at the end with a small tower. That's why I added the holy grenade which makes the tower bigger. Otherwise I think it would have been almost impossible to finish the game.

I love the art style. Good work!

Developer

Thank you ! One of the things I really wanted for this game was to be able to change the colour palette in the menu and therefore make a minimalist game in terms of the number of colours. It was certainly this superfluous point that pushed me just over the time limit, but whatever, I'm happy with the end result.

Simple and very intuitive mechanics - something I should've learned by now 😅

Enjoyable gameplay and straight to the point with the theme.

I like it 👍

So far, I've always exceeded the timer (I created one of my games for the Trijam in over 10 hours). So I'm trying to keep it simple, which isn't easy! But I'm happy with the result :D

Thanks for your kind comment!

Well done on creating a game in 3 straight hours. I always need a break to figure out the next stage and on a live stream no less. I like clean colour palettes aswell.

Developer

Thank's a lot! Creating a game during a live is clearly a difficult exercise, but it's also very stimulating! Personally, I like to create all at once, as if it were a sprint, but there's nothing to stop me taking short breaks, even when I'm live. Sometimes I pause the counter and chat in the chat room, which gives me a bit of a breather :D
