If you want to compete for the leaderboard, you need to finish it in under 3 hours total. The only thing that counts is the time you spend actually making your game and the assets, not the planning time, build time or setting up the itch page. You can also split the 3 hours. You can work on it for 1 hour each day if you want, as long as the total time is under 3 hours.

As far as I know, it's when you're very focused on something, doing something very well. It's that moment when you're doing something and a burst of inspiration hits you. A state of concentration, when everything is going smooth. Not thinking about anything else, fully immersed in what you're doing.

Thank you! :D My intention was to let the game be a bit rage-inducing, so I opted to put no hints at all. But if levels got more complex that's a good idea, so thanks for the recommendation.

The visuals are nice. No audio. Gameplay is good, took me a few rounds to hit all the targets. The flares could be more interesting, something else like being able to control its direction slightly could improve it a lot. Overall a nice game. Good job!

Thank you! :D And you discovered the cheat code to beat it haha

The visuals are very good. The audio is good but sometimes too loud. The gameplay is nice too, I like that there's minigames in it and not only dialogue. Good job!

The visuals are cool, even if a bit simple. The audio is fine too. I like that there's a message in each level, using the light to hide half of the text. The movement is quite clunky though, and I would often get stuck in places because the character sticks to the walls and sometimes doesn't jump properly. It would also be nice to be able to restart a level, since the one time I forgot the level layout towards the end of the game forced me to restart the whole game. Overall a nice game considering the limited development time. Good job!

Quite a creative platformer, I like how you have to scout the level before getting the lightbulb. It's nice that the death locations stay in the map to guide you. I would prefer if the plants that reveal your location kept it shown or gave a little bit of light, though. Visuals are simple and audio works fine. Good game!

Quite a polished game. The visuals are charming and intuitive, the audio works very well. The gameplay is good, the difficulty is just hard enough. The only problem I have is that the multiplication is not clear in functionality - I expected it to constantly multiply whatever was in the affected slots, but it actually multiplies it only once when you put it in. Overall a solid game, very good!

Really impressive considering the development time. The visuals and audio are very good. The gameplay is fun as well, the only complaint is that the scroll speed is a bit slow. Overall it's very satisfying to play, everything works really well together. Great game!

Very interesting game. The visuals are very polished and consistent, and the audio is good too. The dialogue is really cool, I personally love this style of writing that you chose. Great game!

Thank you! :D

Thank you! :D

Thank you! :D

Pretty meaningful theme, and it got the message across. The gameplay isn't very complex. The visuals are quite nice and the audio works well too. Overall I think this is a pretty creative entry, a unique take on the theme. Good job!

The visuals are nice and the audio fits, it's only missing some music. The gameplay is very fun, I like that the obstacles move in some levels and you need to time them. My time was 149 with 1 death. Great game!

The visuals are really charming, especially considering the development time. No audio unfortunately. The gameplay is creative, having to sacrifice your own ability to see the enemies in order to defeat them. While sometimes it's frustating to die without seeing any enemies (maybe a bit of light around the player could help?), it adds a feeling of tension that works very well. I think it could even work as some kind of horror game if audio was added. Good game!

The gameplay is fun, especially level 7. The visuals, while minimalist, work very well and are clear enough. No audio. The strongest point is the gameplay, which is really smooth. I didn't get stuck in any walls and everything behaved like I expected it would. Good game!

Thank you! :D

Thank you! It being frustrating was actually a happy little accident, haha. But turns out it works well >:)

Really impressive game. The visuals are very good, the level is quite long considering the development time, and the sound effects that are in the game are nice. The gameplay is overall solid, sometimes I got a bit stuck in sloped surface and clipped through the jump-through platforms, but nothing that breaks the game. I wish there was a sound effect or visual effect to confirm that I activated a new checkpoint. The concept is quite creative and the gameplay is good and surprisingly long- very good game!

The visuals are very good and the audio works well. The controls are fun and the idea is good too, but I feel like it's missing some sort of objective, like a goal at the top of the stage or a score for how long you managed to survive. Nice idea and smooth controls.

Very good game. The visuals are very good for a 3 hour project. The audio is also quite good. The gameplay is fun, and works really well. I wish the camera reached a bit further, as it's really hard to see the rocks underneath the character. I found it funny that you can dig upwards at the start, it's not useful or game-breaking but it's a funny glitch haha. I like that there's a timer. My time was 33 seconds! Good game.

The visuals are nice considering the time limit. The audio is quite good, I like it a lot. There's not much of a gameplay, you only press right. Good job on the artistic department though.

Now it's working.

Very good game made in 3 hours. The artstyle is cute, it works really well. The gameplay is very short and simple, but it works. The ground detection is very generous an allowed for some (probably unintended) clutch double jumps and wall climbs. Love that "His World" is playing in the background, lmao. There's no SFX though, it could really use a sound effect when taking damage. Overall, very impressive for a 3 hours project! Great job!

Thank you! :D

Oh, good catch. I have no idea why that happens but it's fine, code was a mess haha. Thanks for the comment!

Thank you!

I really like the gameplay, even though the game was lagging it was still fun to think of how to survive the rain. I mostly bunkered myself, though that didn't work on the last levels haha. The visuals are nice too, though I think the color palette should give more contrast to the acid (I'm a bit colorblind, that may be the culprit too, idk). It was also a bit weird to place the dirt sometimes, so I had to faceplant it while placing it to form a wall.

It works on Edge, so I guess it's only a Chrome issue then.

Thank you! I really need to account for sound in the future, I barely had time to put the two sound effects here haha

Love the music and sound effects here. The visuals are very good too. The gameplay is fun and quite challenging, damn speedy capitalist cats!

I'm using Chrome on Windows 10.

Good game. Unique twist on the idea. Gameplay is fun, only right click shot feels a bit weird. Visuals are quite good considering the time. Would gladly donate my skin to the death robots.

:D

I like the color chosen for the acid rain, and the spawn pattern is interesting too. It's really missing an objective, like a score system or survival mechanic, but that's probably because of the short time limit. It's interesting that you actually need to try and hit the raindrops instead of avoiding them.

Thank you! I'll try to plan ahead for the music in future jams, I barely had time to add the sound effects haha

Browser version isn't working for me, I believe you need to turn on the SharedArrayBuffer support here in itch's game settings.

The visuals and audio are quite good for the short amount of time. I don't really see how it fits the acid rain theme. The gameplay is interesting, but getting stuck on the tip of arrows is really annoying. I think an increased fall speed when holding downwards would also go a long way to add more depth to the gameplay. But overall it's fun to play.
