Cool project! It would be nice if in the first zone there was a little more consistency with what kills you and what doesn't.

I enjoyed the unique platformer movement!

Beautiful game! This is a very unique interpretation of the theme, and I had fun with the variety.

Neat game! The graphics and audio were amazing, and I enjoyed how the tutorial walked me through the mechanics.

Darn… I’ll come back tomorrow and give rank one another shot.

I should be the one thanking you for making such an awesome game! I have had so much fun trying to find new ways to lower my time, and the mechanics and level design allow for lots of freedom!

Thanks for the compliments and feedback! Regarding the leaderboard, I opted for a local version using Unity’s PlayerPrefs system. On the highscores window, the three best times scored on your device are displayed.

Overall, a very polished game! I can say without hesitation that this is one of if not the most unique game to come out of this jam.

Looks like I've got to step up my game

Thanks, I'm sure my sister will be excited to hear it! Regarding the vampire survivors situation, that was unintentional, but looking at in now I can't deny the similarity. Thank you again for the kind words!

Thank you!

I liked how well the theme of overheating affected gameplay! It was fun to try and manage both my position and heat levels simultaneously. I liked how different regions were designed differently, giving some nice gameplay variety on the journey to the top.

This looked, sounded, and felt great to play! It was really impressive how polished this project was.

This game was really cool! The mechanics were simple and easy to pick up initially but were set up in such a way that it allowed for a lot of gameplay depth. I loved how it each level seemed to be approachable from many angles. Awesome game, I wouldn't be surprised if this project wins.

Awesome game! The controls were intuitive, and the whole project was super polished. Well done!

Great game! Fits well with the theme, and controls were nice and easy to pick up!

Really cool game! Probably the most unique I've played so far! It was designed well, and I am impressed with how big the level is considering the time constraints. It was also nice to see a top-down game in this jam! Good job!

(1 edit)

I agree that being able to rotate while on the rope would make the game better, but I was running low on time and it was causing too many bugs, and broke some parts of the game completely, so I removed it.  Thank you for playing and leaving feedback!

This game was great! I liked how the short completion time made it easy to keep repeating the game and trying for better times. I ended up loving the jump king-like camera! It was a little annoying in the beginning, but it was definitely worth sticking with for a bit, because once I got used to it, it was awesome! Great job :D

This game was absolutely amazing! Although I lost lots of progress multiple times, it wasn't as anger-provoking as I'd expect, as the mechanics were extremely fun to work with. I actually ended up enjoying the timer on the grappling hook, as I thought it made each grappling hook shot feel more meaningful, and you couldn't get away with just shooting out a bunch without losing lots of time. Overall, great game in every category.

Cool game! It was fun to move around in the level! Graphics were impressive and fit the game well!

Fun, short game! I liked how the player always has a variety of different options at their disposal!

This game was extremely fun to play! Each zone brought new challenges, and I was blown away by the brilliant level design of the different areas! I always knew exactly where I was supposed to be going, and the controls felt responsive, even while in the air. I enjoyed many of the little details, like the buildings in the background, and how the player does a spin in the air after jumping! 10/10, definitely worth playing to completion!

Great gameplay! The lack of audio was a little off-putting, but other than that, the game was amazing!

Fun game, very relaxing! The music and visuals fit great together, and the gameplay kept me engaged throughout the game!

Great game! All of the graphics fit well together and looked great! The pixelated filter looked amazing, but I didn't end up using it too often because it would hide health bars.

This game was great! The visuals worked well along with the dialogue, and it was fun to experience this short story! The battle felt easy to understand, and all of the music was amazing!

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for playing, and I’m glad you enjoyed the high quality menu :)

I definitely should have adjusted the difficulty curve, as there are two more abilities after jumping that make it a bit easier to handle momentum, but I made it too hard to get to them.

This game was amazing! Easy to pick up, and controls felt intuitive! I was engaged for the whole campaign!

Thank you! As for controls, I should have done much more to make the game easier to pick up.

Thanks! :D

Thank you! I agree that I should have made the controls more responsive so the player is less at the mercy of momentum.

Thank you for playing, and for the great advice!

Thank you for taking the time to send so much feedback! I agree that the first level is too difficult, as many people have put the game down during it. For future games, I should definitely do more to make it so that the player has more control over their character, because over several parts of this game, it feels like the user has lost control due to momentum. Thank you again for the feedback!

Wow, several of my friends stoped on the first normal level! Thanks for giving the game as much time as you did!

Thanks! The game unfortunately ended up being decently rage-inducing, because I didn’t do great with making easy to use controls and a reasonable difficulty curve, so I’m sorry about that.

Firstly, thank you for the comment! Yeah, I really missed the mark on difficulty and controls that feel intuitive on this one, so it kind of came out as a rage game. Thank you for playing!

Amazing game! The visuals, audio, and gameplay all worked great together and it’s a very unique submission! After figuring out the mechanics, it was difficult to put down!

Thank you!

I didn’t do a great job of making intuitive controls, so I was worried that people would put the game down after the initial frustration. Thank you for sticking with it!
