This game was great! The visuals worked well along with the dialogue, and it was fun to experience this short story! The battle felt easy to understand, and all of the music was amazing!

Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

I really liked the music, and also the way you forced me through the bad responses I purposely chose :) Great submission!

neat lil game! it was a bit confusing how battle worked at first, but it quickly became clear, so it wasnta  huge issue. music was good and the story cutscenes were fun! good job!!

Thank you for playing! If I ever remake this game, I'm definitely going to have a better tutorial on how to play, but I'm glad you enjoyed the experience overall!

Whoa, I haven't seen Haxe Flixel in a while, but I used to use it as well, so that was fun to see :) Nice to see a strategy game as well, though I was a little confused on what to do at first. Just a little more UI feedback or a bit more primer text would help with that. That said, I think the battles otherwise worked well. Fairly easy to pickup once I got the hang of it. Nice job.

Yeah, I'm starting to get into Haxeflixel to make more games! Thanks for the input, I'll definitely add more of a tutorial if I end up remaking the game. And thanks for playing, I'm glad you had a fun time!

Nice little strategy game! The humor and the music stood out to me as particularly good! I unfortunately ran into a bug that crashed the game very early on while in the first battle sequence, but it's still very nice to see games that manage to include, story, gameplay, music and UI despite the time constraint of a gamejam!

Developer

Oh ok, I'll try to see what it was. Thank you for playing, though, I'm glad you enjoyed it for the most part!

Thank you so much for playing! It was fun watching you play it on the livestream, I got super hyped when I saw it :P

Also, thank you for setting up the game jam, it was a really fun experience and I'm glad I got to be a part of it!

A good turn based game with simple mechanics. There seems to be a glitch were the bottom of the text box flickers while text is appearing. Sometimes this happens in game to the play area and it's hard to see where I'm going but overwise good job. It was fun and had a good story to it.

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll try to see when that happens. Otherwise, thank you so much for playing, it means a lot! :)

Sweet turn based strategy game ^^

I really enjoyed the story aspect to it as well, with the main protagonist having a sort of “mad scientist” cousin making crazy inventions.

Gameplay wise when the battle started i was a bit confused at first cause it felt a bit counter intuitive to select the spot in front of the enemy instead of selecting them to choose attack, and i also didn’t immediately got how to use the mech backpack, so i think i fought the first thief in hand to hand, and started to do the same with one of the trucks before i tried the Special option and got mechanized :p

But overall this little confusion wasn’t that big of an issue so the game was quite enjoyable.

Well done :)
