Yeah, that completely slipped my mind. The rules stated that the game itself count be based around it, and as it's just one image I thiiiink i'm fine, but it should have been addressed. Note to self : don't make decisions like that at 5 am.

Thank you for playing it! I had a few friends playtest it and some found it too easy, so I did what I really shouldn't have done and upped the difficulty without playtesting it. I let one of them have another run-through and I can confirm it is possible, though I agree it is way harder than it should be.
Protip: pressing "N" skips the level and goes to the next :)
Yes, I used Unity and their Universal Render Pipeline. This way I could use the 2D render which has 2D lights. In their, I could a script to my world called a shadow caster, which allows you to see shadows of objects based on light hitting them, giving me the cool boxy shadows in the world. Hope this helps!
Edit : Thought you meant a different section. Yah, you prob had the max dashes for that section. I tried to make it easy, but I guess I failed. Try to improve it after rating period
Yeah, for the part you got stuck at, you had to explore and look for more dashes to get past it. Could have done a better job at making it easier for navigation. The little white arrows you see are supposed to indicate how many dashes you need, but I didn't really do a good job at indicating that. As for the music, it was my first time making music for a game in general, so it's nice that you liked it. And yeah, the limitation was there, but the theme was kind of bs'd at the end. Rushed development makes you cut corners in some places.
I'm confused. The main control scheme IS WASD. That's what i used for playtesting, and that is what i use to play it today. I don't think I even knew I could play with arrow keys. The rushed tutorial I put in the pirst level tells the player to move with WASD. Also, I used all of my 48h, Aug 15 to Aug 17. If, for some reason, you can only play with arrow keys, it might be bugged for you. A simple game screen restart should fix it.
Edit : I'm stupid. I just realized what that 48h comment meant. I think I have like 10h left. I'm going to work on it some more, but don't expect anything great, exempt for more levels, and better balance.
This is a really cool concept and good execution! There are a few problems however. Some levels can be beaten it a matter of seconds with no deaths, while others(the last one specifically) can take upwards of twenty deaths and can take a while to beat. The big problem are the physics when the screen is rotating, as often you physically can't move, which wouldn't be a problem, but because you keep on shooting, your bullets hit you when you are physically incapable of dodging them. Nitpicks aside, it's a very cool game with a lot of potential, I feel!
Someone already left a comment that perfectly summed up the game in my opinion. It's a great idea that has lots of potential, and its good that a game jam got a great idea out of you! However, it could have used some more time in the oven, but, since the jam is over, you have some time, I assume. Still had lots of fun playing it, however, and, at the end of the day, we are here to have fun(at least i hope we are)
I like it! The Concept is unique and fits the theme. The gravity and physics are somewhat clunky, but that can be worked around. The sound effects are good, but feels kinda dull without any music or ambient noise of some kind. The main game-play is fast-passed and hard, and the randomly generated levels keeps it repayable. Also, i'm a sucker for minimal graphics. Overall, good game, and I commend you for finishing!
