I like the art style goes well with the theme, nice
Fun pixel art robot game, wasn't able to unlock the jump cause I kept running out of battery but very cool concept though.
I like the graphics and the vibe of the game. It all fits well together. Some sound effects could help elevate the game experience, and maybe have more checkpoints, because I die too easily, haha. Good job.
You've made a pretty platformer, although it seems more like a metroidvania to me 😅.
However, there are battery problems; it drains even during dialogue, which caused me to die on the last floor. But your idea is great!
I also liked the sound and art in the game.
I wish you good luck in your future development 😉
Thanks for the report, we will fix this when the Jam voting has concluded.
Really cool art and setting. As other people mentioned, the difficulty at the beginning is a bit much as I kept on dying over and over on the second drop. Good game, congrats on finishing.
Thank you. Yeah, the trick to that part is either to not use "run" until you can get the crystal on the conveyor belt, or "run" to the platform on the other side to prevent fall damage.
One of the most polished entry i tried.
Music and art are incredible. The gameplay is well tought and clear. No guessing, you know what to do almost every time (maybe a little signal that explain you to go to the right, over the first power download, it would have been clearer, i admit i lost my self in that point). It's a great platformer. loved the strategic use of the power mechanic.
Well done!
Ps. A technical question, cause i'll want to do a similar thing: For the conveyors you use the SurfaceEffectors2D?
Thanks for your comments, yes, we use something similar to SurfaceEffector2D, but it is slightly modified to work with our player controller.
Very polished game, i like the pixel-art the MUSIC and the gameplay.
Took me some attempts to realize, the upgrades are permanent, and taht its intedned, that the player has to start over an over again.
Good Job!
I really like your use of the theme and the setting was great! I definitely struggled with the difficulty and the fall damage/height of the falls is a bit too brutal for the starting area I think. It actually took me about 5+ attempts to make it down to the area with conveyor belts because that fall kept killing me even though I never got hit by the spikes. Not sure how I finally started living through the fall but eventually I did. Other than that, I loved the overall look and feel of the game so well done!
The planet animation and the logo is pretty amazing. The robot and the environment is also pretty cute too.
However the difficulty spikes kinda put players off. The player can only take fall damage and there are no ways to avoid. Part of the traps are not obvious enough for players to dodge.
Spiking the difficult too high then most players cannot really access the rest of your content. Beware of that.
I was really impressed by this game and thought the Metroidvania elements were really cool! I think there were some design choices that made things really difficult. I am not sure why the player takes fall damage when falling is required towards the beginning. The way the power ticks down makes it hard to get back to where you died quickly, this could be a cool mechanical trade-off, where the player has to be patient but I think it needs to be tweaked because in some cases it feels like there isn't enough time to get back to where you are. Checkpointing as you enter a new room could also help with this. Overall I really liked the presentation world and story here. Nice work!
Hi!
I wanted to go to the end, but unfortunately this game does not forgive mistakes, so I only got to the first jump :).
It was quite interesting and fun to play because of the good balancing of difficulty on the verge of impossible ;).
Of the things that caught my eye the most, it was the thing that I could perceive the least, namely - the font, it would be good for me to make it more user-friendly, more readable, because I read with great difficulty, rather not reading but guessing the words :).
In the gameplay, I noticed that when you get a chance to run or jump and die again, you start over, but these powers are already with you. I think it would be better to add checkpoints between levels, or when you start from the very beginning without the skills acquired in the previous life, although I think that due to the complexity of the game - checkpoints at the level would be ideal!
When moving to the next location, I seem to have noticed that if you save a motion frame, when you start a new location you will have an additional motion frame, even if you are not moving, but it's need checking, because I'm not sure.
I liked the mechanics of the treadmill!
Graphics and music coexist beautifully and only improve the game as a whole! But since there is music, it would be nice to be able to turn it on/off.
Nice game, I had fun! Congratulations!
Solid game design, controls, animations were cool, however I believe the game proved to be too challenging, crystals gave lesser and lesser energy as I die more and more leading to a vicious loop of dying near at the starting area. If difficulty could ramp up in a better way, could be way cooler than it already is.
I love the intro animation of getting power. Really solid robot character design, I like the little visor movement.
Great game!
The art is beautiful, music is nice, the gameplay is good but challenging, very challenging. Felt like the crystals could give a bit more energy.
I love the audio of this game. Good job!
Tough game! Struggled to get very far, but very cool concept!
Nice game. Very challenging. How do I unlock the jump action?
You come across terminals with red buttons. Press space button on them to interact.
Cool art and animations! I keep falling to my death on the second room and wasn't able to appreciate the content you all made. I think the first crystal should give max power and/or jump could be enabled at the start.
Hi, thanks for checking out our game. Don't forget, running and jumping also use up energy. Stick with walking until you can pick up a few power crystals. Use run to cross larger gaps from a height, this can help reach platforms to mitigate fall damage.
A cool game! I liked the art style and the gameplay was fun. Nice work!
love the pixel art. The character is cute. The need for speed took me off guard but fit the gameplay perfectly.
