Thanks for this! I installed my copy of DiBS for the Mac using the itch.io app, which seems to get the permissions right. Took me a while to find, and I almost considered this route, but the very next message in the thread I was checking out mentioned that the itch.io app gets it right, so i just did that. It's great to see people share solutions to problems like this! Thanks for digging into the issue! You're awesome!

The web download ZIP file has a copy of the app with improper permissions, thus Mac OS will refuse to open it.
If you download the itch.io app, and perform a full installation of DiBS through the itch.io app, it performs the install, applying appropriate permissions to the app file, and it will actually work!
UPDATE: I've figured out that the app file contained in the web download ZIP file has it's permissions borked... In order to get a Mac version that works, you MUST download the itch.io app, and perform an installation of DiBS through the app... The Itch.io app installs the file with the correct permissions, and it WILL WORK!
DiBS for Mac returns an error after decompressing the ZIP file. Upon opening, Mac OS Sonoma (14.1.2) identifies the file as damaged, and offers the option to trash the app or cancel attempting to open it. I am downloading using Chrome.

- File successfully downloads. Decompressing the ZIP produces an App file that Mac OS identifies as damaged, and refuses to open.
- Downloaded via Chrome on Mac OS Sonoma (14.1.2)
