I made it! 10 minutes, 21 tries and 1 crystal.

Cool game. I really like the idea of a platformer with really restricted, almost frustratingly so, controls - kind of made it feel like a puzzle having to decide exactly where to jump from.

Nice one!

(I did encounter a slight glitch. I dropped down to a previous level but the camera didn't follow. I jumped around randomly for a bit and it eventually it snapped back when I made it back to the previous level before. Sorry I don't know exactly where it was.)

Yeah balancing the difficulty was quite hard. The collision area is actually about twice as big as the sprite but yeah it's still not easy!

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback, appreciate it!

Loved the mechanics, looks really cool too - those people are so hard to avoid!

I recommend switching the rotation when reversing so it behaves like you would expect a real vehicle to when turning whilst reversing.

I'm so impressed, great idea!

I would prefer if there was an option to not zoom in on every move, I found it quite disorientating!

Hi Lam,

Thanks very much for the feedback. I'll definitely take it on board as learning as I develop the game further. I found the part about the portal disabling particularly interesting - this was something that I had considered a key part of the design, but getting another person's more objective point of view will make me reconsider!

I really appreciate you taking the time to get back to me, it means a lot, especially at this stage of my journey. I look forward to the next jam!

Cheers!

Well done to the winners. I'm had a lot of fun playing some of the submissions.

I'm very disappointed that my game was removed. I've since discovered my error in exporting the game, and have since uploaded a new version - one of the unexpected learning experiences of uploading your first game I suppose.

Obviously it's too late for the jam, but, if you'd still like to give my game a go, I would still very much appreciate some feedback.

Thanks

Nice one, I like it. Well done for releasing your first game! This jam was also the motivation for making my first game. It's nice to see someone else using Godot too!

Congratulations on your first game, this jam was also my first! Very good effort - have fun on the rest of your game dev journey!

Great game, so beautifully simple and I love the style. Very impressive in such a short time.
