I'll second Errol's statement. A massive thanks to Chris and to the sponsors.

Hi - Thanks for the feedback, it's always good as there are just so many interactions and it is hard to think of them all!
The X OVEN is in the game, I tested it this morning successfully.
X HOLE - Added today.
X LABEL - Added today.
USE CATAPULT - Added today.
KNOCK SHELF - Added today.
The milk quest - under review for a future version.
As for Sneezing, it is a random chance interaction that happens if you spend time in the location. SNEEZE isn't a command you can type in.
Not my bag I'm afraid. I do have several ideas tucked away for future projects. I've got a rough design for one of which is set in quite a few British towns and cities with travel between them and several locations per town/city. Its going to be fairly massive and I'm dreading starting it. Its going to be an evade capture style where you can only spend so long in certain places before the hunters track you down. Think of the TV show 'Hunted' and you'll not be far off the mark.
My biggest problem is that I need a motivation to work on them. Life is a busy place for me and a game jam helps motivate me. I'm going to stick to entering now and again with mini adventures.
Thanks Christopher for your constructive feedback.
I've made a few minor changes based on your feedback and quickly resolved some of the minor interactions. I apologise if the odd diversion from the main quest by the use of red herrings affected your experience. There are a number of them in the game and the intention was to add some 'tongue in cheek' humour into the game. Originally I was going to implement a scoring system where 60% of it was generated by the quest and the remaining 40% would be based on these comedy interactions, but I personally find scoring systems a bit annoying. On this basis I decided to leave it out.
Some minor changes made this afternoon.
- About 50 spelling mistakes sorted
- I've resolved the key thing, had too much going on. Its now simplified.
- Reindeer issue also resolved
- Fishing hole logic updated
- Addressed concerns raised about number of objects that appear after use of Examine command. More obvious ones made visible.
New version now available.
Thanks Chris, I was keeping Dinosaur Island a secret!
Although I have used Adventuron in the past, I am still a novice in the world of IF. Hopefully I've learnt from my creation of Dinosaur Island and can improve on it in my latest adventure 'A Christmas Quest'.
Watch this space... I may even get it finished and submitted!
I'm Richard and I've followed these adventure jams since they started. I've always promised myself that I'd have a go at one, this is my first one (but not my first Adventuron adventure)!
I have a map, and a plot already. I've decided to go hardcore and not start coding until the Jam actually starts. It's going to be a tough one for me on a graphics level, I struggle to draw a straight line!!! I'll get my apologies in now for the childlike images, even though Chris has already tried to set me on the vector graphics path (sorry Chris but I'm embracing my inner crayon holding child).
I used exactly this in Dino Island. Basically when at a certain location. Drop object, if present chasm, destroy dropped item. set flag to true. When in cave under chasm and flag is true, create the item and set flag to false.
I only allowed certain items to fit in the small chasm so coding it was easier. All other items remained in the location when dropped.
