Pretty fun and challenging game! Requires you to think hard and try many times to came up with the solution for each map without feeling like it’s impossible.
Also love the 1-bit style and the music.
Overall, a game that I would definitely replay!
I know this is probably not your fault, but this game is very frustrating to play.
When you first started the game, you were flashbanged every 5 seconds, making it impossible to avoid the coins or to play at all. Not to mention the poor performance that came with Unreal games adding to the frustration.
Overall, a game with a pretty interesting idea, but the game itself is just very annoying.
I like the music though, really adds to the atmosphere of the game.
Pretty OK game. I like the idea of using gambling as an extra way to earn more money instead of just selling weapons.
However, the game suffers a lot from performance issues, making it a quite frustrated experience.
Some nice addition to the game would be adding a crosshair to know where you are pointing and having the bet section as a sort of machine in front of the player’s table instead of just a poster to make it more clear what the player’s going to do.
Overall, nice game.
A pretty challenging game, as you have to constantly monitor the player and making sure they don’t fall on the ground.
My only two complaints are that sometimes the game doesn’t reset immediately after the player falls out of the screen for some reason, and that sometimes the platform makes the player bounce really high (out of screen), which makes it hard to know exactly where the player is and where to place your platform.
Other than that, great game.
Took me 29 strokes to finish the 9 holes (mostly because of the first hole, LOL).
Not a very visually appealing game, but I have to say the execution is pretty good, and I like the idea of the hole acting also like the golf instead of just you moving it around. It challenges you a little bit to try to guess where the hole and the golf is gonna meet after each stroke.
Quite like the whole vibe of this thing, reminds me of old 2000s flash games.
Aside from that, the gameplay is pretty solid, and there’s one little trick that you can use in the game: If you timed your jump just right and landed not too far from the platform, you could get an extra jump from midair without falling.
I seem to get stuck on level 5 (or maybe 4?) because I can’t reach the first golden key, but other than that, great execution!
Pretty good game, although the AI is unreliable (you can’t guarantee that it will go the same path the next time you build the map because of its jumping mechanism), so you have to place things and pray that the AI will go in the same path as you planned it to go before.
Other than that, pretty fun game.
The experience is pretty OK, but the game seems to be pretty buggy.
When I first loaded the game, it refuses to let me plant my slimes. In the next few tries, I was only be able to test the game for a little bit before the game crashed.
Not a great execution, but the idea is quite intertesting.
And the music is prety good though.
Pretty enjoyable game. Got 738 points in nearly 9 minutes.
My main complaint for this game is mostly on the controls. The clicking is a little bit unresponsive and can result in you losing points without actually executing the abilities.
The camera moving is fine, although the W key doesn’t work for some reason, so you have to use both the cursor and the keys to move around.
The last part of the game where there are a few innocents left is a bit tedious, as you have to zoom in and look around the map to look for the innocents, since they are pretty tiny.
Overall, pretty good game.
I don’t know why, but this has to gotta be one of the funniest games I have ever played in the GMTK jam submissions.
Just the fact that you have to both escape the villager and running around finding other animals hoping that they would give you whatever the villager want is both funny and terrifying at the same time. It makes you go, “Where the frick is that one thing that the villager is looking for!?” I don’t know man, it’s just so funny to me.
My only complaint would be that the dialogue is too slow, and I wish there’s an option to skip the dialogue, but other than that, great game and great execution!
Have to say, this is one of the finest game I have seen from the batches of Unity games entering this jam.
The game is quite hard, sure, but not impossible. In fact, it’s pretty enjoyable actually from my view.
The game also requires you to consciously paying attention to both money and your HP, which I think makes the game a bit more challenging yet still keeping it fun.
Overall, a decent game. Not the best game out there, but better than most.
This gotta be one of my favorite submissions from the jam so far!
The blues music makes me wanna dance, the gameplay isn’t too frustrating (and in fact quite satisfying), and the UI is simple but effective!
My only real complaint is that you shouldn’t lose when going outside the border. Other than that, great execution
Like the idea and the backstory, but the game itself is a little bit short.
Also, escaping the priest from healing you is not really a huge deal to the player, as their speed is slow, and you just need to run around and get bitten by zombies enough until you turn into a zombie.
Also also, what’s that music when you win the game? It’s quite creepy.
Nonetheless, a pretty decent, although short, experience.
An interesting concept, but the execution could be a bit better. The gameplay is a bit buggy, and you have to try multiple times to click on the moving platform and hoping that they would actually move, which is a bit frustrating.
I also suggest having a little stop between switching levels and having a tiny tutorial explaining the game. Nevertheless, a pretty OK game, just needed some polishing.
