I probably thought that it was a general description of the gameplay or just completely missed it. Either way, it's mostly on me

Yep, that fixed it in the main level. For the reference, that's how bad it was in the original https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GXAuj7Mo096c65p8RPmJN0SKfy7U0gOh/view?usp=shari...
After finishing, what can I say... The sound is phenomenal, but the game is certainly unfinished and buggy in the visuals (in the fixed version the main character is "shivering" when moving, and the walking animation doesn't play (if it should at all)), plus the feel of the game should be worked on (look up tricks on how to make a platformer feel better). But the foundation is solid
It seems a prototype at best. There's no story, no goal, and it's pretty bare. It doesn't punish you or reward you in any way. So I didn't enjoy it much. But it's pretty well made and looks amazingly aesthetically. Probably, given more time, it may become a truly great thing, but at this point of development it's meh
Fits the theme amazingly, but it wasn't fun for me personally. Hitboxes are pretty unforgiving, and feel unfair (especially the spikes), the slimes hit me even when I have already "stomped" them. And either I didn't get how to deal with the bats correctly (maybe a better tutorial?), or, if it is required to die to kill a bat, it's a bit tiresome to return from the respawn point each time. Overall, very well made, just needs polishing, and it's not for me
Ok, knowing that, I got a bit farther, but the controls for keyboard are still pretty bad. Hit & sprint on the same button are not good. And I stuck on the level where you need to jump from a slow vertically moving platform to a fast horizontally moving one. It's just impossible, at least on keyboard, or I'm missing something mechanics-wise. Plus, is walljumping a bug or a feature? I dunno, but it still barely helped with that platform... I got on it once and didn't make the final jump, and I never repeated that success.
So, my verdict - it needs a tutorial, maybe a better control scheme (or at least a "Gamepad very much recommended" or something written in the menu) and some playtesting&polish (which is applicable to most, if not all games on gamejams). I changed my rating to a higher one still
Escape flings me into main menu! I just want to exit the shop, not that! Ugh
Otherwise a solid game, I enjoyed other parts. It would definitely benifit from tutorial in a non-text form, some feedback when you purchase something (at least a cha-ching sound effect) and stuff like showing letter E prompt above the shop when it's active and Esc button not instantly sending to main menu
Problems I found:
- You can get into the textures by travelling between times, I've done it twice during my first "playthrough".
- No ambient sound/music, any game would win from that
- The controls feel a bit off. Maybe it's because I'm not that big on platformers
Otherwise, great. Good visual design, good sounds, great concept, cool mechanics. I would also map controls differently, but it's just my taste. I liked it a lot!
