The sound design creates a really nice oppressive atmosphere, and I really liked how distinct the three time periods are from one another. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you! We appreciate it.

Hi Like the art style  and the game mechanic.

  1. Th movement felt a difficult to use  felt like you are sliding on ice .
  2. The warp sound was a bit to intense  .
  3. When at the tip of ladder i got stuck  and had to keep pushing up and right  to move again.

With a bit of polish i think you would have a cool game.

Thanks for the feedback!

It is really hard to control the jumps and movements but I still liked it, congratz!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it.

Hey there, I thought the idea between switching times to complete the obstacle was unique! It was cool that you could control that yourself at any point. I liked the level progression in the design and the art aspects.

It was a little hard to control the player because you had high jumping or movement power, sometimes it was hard to accurately land where you wanted to. Maybe making some platforms wider would help.

I found the sound effect of time warping was a bit jarring. And if you spam between the three times the SFX plays everytime and overlaps. Perhaps adding a limit to how many times that can play could be added. Adding some background music would definitely wrap things up and add to the mood!

Overall, really great game! Congrats on completing the game jam :)

Developer

Hey, thank you for your review and the compliments!

Both you and RUS are complaining about the movement so I will surely take a look at it.

Our tester Bouzinho also complained about the SFX, sadly I couldn't tweak it much since the sound on my PC is broken...(bad timing...) but once it's repaired I'll change it a bit to make it less annoying. And you're also right about the music.

BTW I will probably take a look at your game once my PC is fixed, I love rythm games and yours looks fun!

Oh no! That is terrible timing! Would love to play it again once you push those updates.

Yes, please do try and give us a review as well. There has been really good feedback lol. We have a good list of things to improve in our game. Thanks!

Problems I found:
- You can get into the textures by travelling between times, I've done it twice during my first "playthrough".
- No ambient sound/music, any game would win from that
- The controls feel a bit off. Maybe it's because I'm not that big on platformers
Otherwise, great. Good visual design, good sounds, great concept, cool mechanics. I would also map controls differently, but it's just my taste. I liked it a lot!

Hey, thanks for the review! We appreciate the fact you took the time to play our game, out of the hundreds that are parts of the Jam.

We put a reset button (bound to R) in case the player would get stuck on geometry, because of the type of platformer we created, the player getting stuck is eventually going to get stuck.

As for the music, you're completely right! We didn't take much time to think about it, and thus our game suffers a bit from it. Though none of us in the team has experience composing, free ambient music might help.

I think we could take a look at the controls and change them to make them more precise.
