Thanks for the feedback! I probably had enough time to make a tutorial but I was too lazy to implement it sadly

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback!

Technically you can regain health back by killing two slimes in one swing, but honestly it was just luck that it ended up that way. Originally this was supposed to be a puzzle game but I ran out of time so I pivoted to an arcadier style of gameplay

Thanks for the feedback!

Love the aesthetic, love the sounds, love the gameplay. And the concept was a banger too

Ended up fighting the bloodgod but didn't last long enough to check what the heart of the machine did

Yoo this games cool as hell, really liked the aesthetic and the gameplay.

Sadly I couldn't get very far since my mouse has a really high dpi and there was no sensitivity option. That's purely a skill issue on my part though

Pretty solid platformer and the art was really nice!

Really like the art and the gameplay was pretty solid, though I was a bit sad that there were only 2 levels

The game was pretty fun, and I really like the sprites!

Really like the frantic arcadey style gameplay, and the art was very charming.

Though if I had to point out a problem it would be that it took a hot minute for me to figure out what was actually going on. I think having a separate screen that has the info would be nice since it's hard to read while trying not to die

One of the best implementations of the theme and special feature I've played. And the platforming was solid, though I just wish the camera was a bit more zoomed out so I could choose when and when not to actually use the petals

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks!

I really like how well the sacrifice mechanic is implemented in this one, it feels essential since melee is really hard. I also really like how complete the game feels and it was overall a really fun experience.

I will say that the climbing was a bit confusing, but that's probably a skill issue on my part though animations that emphasize when you can and can't climb would help. Also, I think the mixed resolutions in the art makes it look less cohesive, and making all the pixels the same size in game and using a palette would serve the game well in terms of aesthetics.

And while there are a few other issues, I think most of those are minor enough that it'll probably be smoothed out as you continue making stuff

Though if I had to point out one bigger issue, it's that the physics are a bit weird, specifically the gravity and air resistance, you lose a lot of speed when you jump which doesn't feel great and it's also very floaty. The gravity or mass of the player is too low and it makes it feel like the character doesn't have much weight.

This was a really unique experience, and honestly I was scared it was a horror game at first

The game's really pretty and I ended up loving the aesthetic, though I did lose a few runs because I just couldn't find any enemies which was a bit frustrrating

I really like the game! The art is super cute and the sounds and music fit the vibe so well. The gameplay's also really well polished and addictive

Also got 83 as my best which probably isn't that high

I probably should have been more clear on the goal, which in this game is to die either by falling or getting stabbed

Also I'll push the final version after the jam is over

Thanks for the feedback~!

AHHH I forgot to upload the final version so for now the final level is test level

Thanks!

Thanks!

I wanted to put at least some bg music in, but I just didn't have the time. Might come back to this someday and add it though

I don't normally play text based games but I thoroughly enjoyed this one so far. And it helps that my choice of build seems to make living through the wasteland pretty simple (charisma + strength = himbo build)

One thing that I would like though is accessibility options like changing the font and increasing its size. I know that you can zoom in on your browser but that makes the sidebar and images increase in size too.

The actually gameplay portion of it is surprisingly engaging for being an endless runner,  interesting obstacles with predictable movement and even some mini boss fights.

I just wish that there was better presentation for the actual game itself. Like a small lean when moving left or right and adding some easing to the lane movement so it isn't as mechanical feeling. Screen shake when getting hit by something would also be great. Maybe adding some shadows to the pickups and obstacles to tie them into the game more. And also maybe particles when you get coins or hit something.

The booba presentation is pretty great though

Thanks for the feedback! I'll probably add some sort of level system after the jam to ease players into the game more

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! will definitely fine tune the difficulty once the jam is over

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't have the chance to playtest the game with other people that much so I ended up balancing the game around my knowledge and skill of the game, still thinking of ways to get that slow ramp up while still keeping a higher pace and I'll probably change it after the jam

Thanks for the feedback! I'll probably try to make a better difficulty system after the jam

Thanks! I probably know what's causing the bug so I'll fix that up after the jam

Very cute! I didn't actually know what I was supposed to be doing for the first few seconds since hitting the thing didn't really didn't indicate that anything was happening, but I just pushed through and managed to clear the game

it was quite easy though since you're so tanky but it was still quite a fun bullet hell experience

The game really ramps up as the score gets higher, though I do feel quite at home as an Osu! player (got 104 btw ;) )
It was really fun though, and I love the small touches like the grass and the shooting star

A surprisingly difficult game, but also very fun! Really had to focus on the hard difficulty

Though it does get quite disorientating, but that may just be my computer being bad and giving me 5 fps sometimes

Very cute! A surprisingly difficult game, though that might just be me not being able to differentiate between hearts and spears

I love how you used the assets to make a gloomier mood

Thanks!

Yep

A really cute aesthetic and the gameplay was quite fun even if it was a bit short

The visuals are amazing, and surprisingly enough the gameplay was quite intuitive and quite fun to play around with.

(1 edit)

An increadibly polished game and the visuals are stunning.

Quite a fun game, the post processing was a bit much sometimes but still very enjoyable

It's so satisfying to just move around the game world and explore

Such a well polished game, everything feels extremely satisfying

This game is pure chaos and I love it
