Well, there isn't really a reason behind it, it's pretty much just the bounding box for collisions, movement and stuff, I should definitely make it invisible :D

Thanks a lot for the comment! Sound is definitely an important part, even the most silly sound effects can make the game feel more complete and make you forget about other details that are lacking.

Thanks a lot for the comment. Quite a big update will be uploaded in in no more than 1hour.

Similar to the experience with my own game - it get's so much better with sound effects even if they are simple. I've never heard of this engine, but it seems simple enough for me to take a closer look at it :D

While visually the game seems very simple, I have to say that the controls feels the most responsive of all the games posted here :D I just wish there were at least one more type of enemy or the speed and amount of them would get so overwhelming that it get's challenging.

The controls were indeed a bit slippery, but I guess it just gives the charm to the game :D I actually laughed out loud when I saw the first enemy. The only annoying part was how hard it was to climb stairs. But overall super impressive that it's made on self made engine.

Hmm, shouldn't take any damage from the ground as there is nothing that would trigger it, but the bounding box of the "character" might not correspond with the animation of it, so it may seem sometimes that there is a hit where it shouldn't have been. Maybe I'll think of way how to make those things more precise in the next update.

Will definitely try out how the controls feel with the turning instead of strafing.

Thank you very much for the comment! A big update coming out tonight, which will make the virus evasion a bit more dynamic as speed up and slow down control will be available, also the the collision bounds will be much closer to the actual blood cell, longer level, pause, glitch fixes and other things.

Will do

I will use UPBGE which is an open-source, 3D game engine forked from the old Blender Game Engine. I found out about it's existence just yesterday and it was nice to see that the old and dead BGE has been revived, kept alive and updated by someone. Will be interesting to see if I will be able to come up with something better with it than I was 12 years ago.
