This was soo much fun! I love the feel of slicing through the enemies, the controls are also quite unique but also easy to handle, so very easy to pick up and just play!
Also very nice polish for 48 hours, I love that I was able to compare my high score! This is definitely one of the best games I've played on this jam :D
Thank you James! The dice rolling mechanics was the first thing we thought about implementing so we're glad you like it :)
The music is quiet at the start because it gets louder in the end and we didn't want to blow everyone's ears off, plus we didn't have time to implement the settings to lower the volume so that seems like the best choice at the time. The ducks just want their drinks haha, we wanted to give them more personality so we thought it would be fun for them to be more and more angry haha :D
I had so much fun drawing the ducks and the backgrounds so I'm glad you liked them! Thanks again for playing and hosting the jam!
Thank you so much! 1600 is a very high score! Right now the dice rolls are completely randomized so a lot of the game is centered around luck and chance haha. We are thinking of potential ways to tune the randomizer so it can be more fair to roll the ingredients but it was something we didn't have time to implement during the jam. Maybe in the future we can polish up the game more!
Thanks for playing the game and the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the game :)
Very cute game! The art is amazing, and interesting mechanic!
I wished we would take turns going first so it doesn't feel like you'll be in a disadvantage because the AI can see what you're making first. I guess I was also very unlucky and almost got 0 wins in the first playthrough. But it was fun to see all the crazy combinations!
This is super cool!! I can see myself just making cool beats all day on this :D
The presentation and simplicity is awesome, makes me want even more space to make more beats! But very good optimization with the limited board, very impressive!
Here's my save if anyone wants to give it a listen xD: A91CC02
Very interesting mechanic, I do wish there were more options you can do than just putting down rooms and hoping you have a good room to stall the adventurer. Also it would be nice if the rooms refill the moment you put it down instead of having to put down all three before the next rooms appear. But for 48 hours, pretty impressive!
