Good platforming feel! The jump sound effect is simple, but really adds a lot.
Interesting that the player has to "juggle" the pirates to keep them each out of the ghost's path. Tricky!
Nice! Pretty cool game, pretty cool music!
Nice and energetic game. Easy to pickup while also becoming challenging. A really good submission. I also liked the tiny pirate sprites.
Fun and easy to get the hang of but still a nice challenge. I like that the first pirate to treasure isn’t safe so I had to keep moving them while the other tried to get to treasure. Nicely done!
Thank you
I really like this game! I enjoy the challenge of sneaking past the ghost and the panic when the ghost starts coming near even though I've got one of the pirates to the treasure already! The music is really solid too.
I intended to partake using GBDK too. ;) (Although things got in the way and I was too late.)
The game reminds me somewhat of The Lost Vikings in concept. In case you do not know it: you control three Vikings, each having specific abilities, and must bring all three of them to the exit alive (and also with a key or something akin, in the last levels of the worlds).
Takeaway: The game feels complete as a little demo, ranging from cute characters to the music; I can easily see it extended into a bigger game by having more varied enemies (with different behavioural patterns) and mechanics (switches and so on). The concept of having to switch between several characters is a classic, actually (see the example above; also seen this concept in game jams, I am thinking of NeededTwo or Cubemunity, just to mention two of them), but maybe a specific feature of yours would be to have each level fit in a screen without scrolling, as is now the case? So that you can always watch everything easily. It could give a more ‘puzzle’-oriented feel to the game compared to others. :)
Thanks for the game; motivates me to finish my own GBDK-one! :)
Bugs / Suggestions:
Tu parles en anglais, mais vu ton pseudo tu peux parler à Eric / Studio 40A en français :D . J'aurais aimé voir ton projet sous GBDK, mais parfois le sort en décide autrement ;)
I thought I was the only one using gbdk, good job!
Me too. I am going To try yours 🤗
I intended to partake with GBDK although I was too short on time, so, here is someone else. ;)
(I also intend to delve into RGBDS in the future. :) Maybe in time for GB Compo 2023? Who knows!)
we made similar games! Nice to see your version of the mechanic! Cheers!
Pretty funny to see this take of a swap mechanic
Thanks :)
I like switching games like this!
Its cool! Like the swap pirate mechanic
Nicely done, love the tiny sprites of the pirates. As mentioned in another comment, the roaming ghost makes the whole thing come together in a nice platformer challenge.
Interesting idea, Ghost running all over the scene and killing your partner majes You pay attention on the whole scene increasing the challenge. It's a Game suited for platformer lovers
Amazing and challenge game.
thanks
This is a cool mechanic! The ghost adds a lingering threat that you always have to watch out for, making the whole two-player idea actually a whole lot more evident while playing and makes you think about both of the pirate's location both at the same time. I don't really see where it relates much to the theme though? This is neat tho.
Thank you for your report 🤗
