No luck. Tried it on Pop_OS (latest version)

Wait, I just downloaded the Linux release and I can't seem to start the game? I launched it, got to the title screen, then tried pressing every key on my keyboard to start the game, even though I'm prompted to press any key.

Is this a bug?

Oh. My. God. I am inexplicably happy that someone streamed my game!

Never knew WOAH_MAAN also made games; man do they slap

I wish you could change Yuyu's direction while picking her up with the arrow keys or something...

I'm glad you noticed that detail! It took me quite a bit of work to figure that out.

I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing our game! (and for the compliment, it's a real confidence booster!)

Nice mechanics, nice graphics, nice game.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Well, that's sort of what I had in mind while making this game. Hehe.

Ups!

Ich will ja unbedingt sehen, was mich im geheimen Ende erwartet!

I was laughing for most of the time playing this game. The whole premise is just so silly I couldn't help but just laugh.

It would have been great if there was an eraser to erase accidental mistakes...

Well, during development I was thinking that typing in a fresh command every time you needed it was part of the challenge, but looking back, it does get sort of tedious. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yep, that's the feedback I was looking for! It really makes me happy to know that you at least enjoyed playing my game :D

And I see you've spotted that Mega Man inspiration. Nice.

Funny story, I had an original idea that didn't work out, and by then I already had spent half of the time for the jam on that flopped idea. So I ended up working with less than a day's worth of time lmao

Actually, why didn't I think of that?

Was kind of thinking of that too actually (but then there wasn't enough time left...) Thanks for taking time for checking out my game!

Thanks for the feedback, man! There was actually a line counter on the bottom left of the screen, but it got cut off for some reason, and there wasn't enough time left in the jam to fix that. Sorry for that.

Hey, thanks for taking time out of your day to play my game. I appreciate the constructive criticism!

Thanks for the feedback! A highscore of 3000 is pretty decent actually.

Hi! Thanks for the feedback! I think something like a ticking clock sound would work...

:(((( but I hope the google drive link still works

Good rage game. I almost smashed my laptop into pieces. (Exaggeration)

You know, a little UI on the screen to show which direction you're going to turn next would be very nice to have...

Also this is a very nice mobile time-waster game.

I don't have a friend to try this game out with, but I can imagine that it would be fun if I did have one.

The art style is TO DIE FOR. Good job!

Thank you, it was meant to be frustrating hehe.

I think this would be better suited to a rhythm game..

I am still stuck on the 'it's not a bug, it's a feature' level. Despite that I think that's an interesting concept you have there!

I kind of understand why you would slow down the speed for this game, but I think you could make the character roll to quickly get out of the way of projectiles to make up for that. Also, increasing the size of the enemy hitbox would be great.

This is a nice game tho.

Wow! I'm really glad you enjoyed my game! :)

The basic concept of diving down as  a submarine and collecting stuff is cool and all, but I think you need more than 5 collectibles to make a collect-a-thon game.

Alright, noted. Thanks for playing my game :D

Must've been an oversight. Thanks for the feedback though!  (That will be fixed by tomorrow.)

Not gonna lie, the concept is similar to the game that I submitted lmao.

But seriously, great artstyle, decent gameplay, but please. For the love of god, somehow add diagonal attacks / dash!

I don't want to be mean, but it's awful.

The story didn't make sense to me. I got a controller that could cheat death itself. Cool, I guess. Then out of nowhere there was a note? Say what? Okay then it tells you to ... let your hair down? Um... I don't see a connection, but okay. Then the game tells you to ... shake a can? Then there was nothing on the screen. I don't mean to degrade your skills or anything, but I was genuinely confused while playing your game.

That doesn't mean that there is nothing good about your game. The UI was clean and well-polished. You also established suspense at the beginning of the game, but unfortunately all that went out the window as the game went on.

I think you were going for a horror visual novel game. I am not much of a writer myself, but I here are some writing tips you could bring home:

- Plan a full, cohesive story, before you do anything. You have to lay out all the events before you, so you know exactly how the story should flow.

- Try using some imagery, or other literary devices. These things really make your writing much more vibrant.

- Build suspense throughout the game. There are many ways you could pull this off. One way I know is that you could try and put the main character in a bad situation, and then it just gets worse and worse.

As for the images, you could've made the images a little darker on photoshop to bring out that creepy vibe.

Don't be disheartened, be proud that you made something in just three days!

P.S: The music really brought out that suspense.

P.S.S: You were supposed to only use WASD and arrow keys only. But whatevs.

I don't know if it's just me, but I didn't really know what was my ultimate goal besides shooting down baddies... The shooting part of the game felt good, though. This really reminded me of that tank game on the NES -- Battle City. Overall, I think it's okay. I also had a bit of confusion while navigating through the map..
