I overall enjoyed the game and some of the gimmicky levels like with the gravity helmet and drill. Though the gravity helmet did confuse me at first. I really liked the quips you had when you finished a level.

Come in, recruit. You must turn all the evil more-than-3-sided polygons into dark triangles. Be careful as if you don't attack again before the countdown... its over. You got this. Over and out!

Thank you so much! I like a lot of the feedback you gave and it inspired some new ideas in me! About the final level and the lack of the chest, you gave me an idea where when you find the red X in previous levels, it says "Your treasure is on another island," and then on the final level you find the actual treasure!

I liked it! I thought it was pretty fun to place down a bunch of turrets to fight the ships though I didn't really like the way you gather resources. It feels very boring and I don't know if its intended but I just sat at the rock mining while I placed turrets. Maybe, you could add a very tiny minigame when harvesting stuff? Good job!

A pretty interesting game. I liked the little minigames. I feel like the sailing mechanic could be reworked, however. Did you make all the art yourself? The mushroom, coin and rum sprites look very good!

Short and sweet! I really like the art style you have going on and the tower defense twist you had was cool. If you update it in the future, you should definitely add sound and some music and maybe some sort of endless mode!

It was a neat game and I liked the effect when you break a resource. I felt that the game was very empty though, I think if you added music (maybe a walking sound effect too?)  it would lessen the nothingness.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the puzzles, for a few of them I felt like I was just throwing stuff at the wall.

I enjoyed all the polish and little tutorial at the beginning. It was very easy to see what I had to do; one thing that could make the experience better is a setting to speed up the wave.

For the water, was it the distortion effect or the colors that messed with you?

The art, juice and polish is really, really nice! However, the game lacks something maybe its just because I don't have someone to play with. Looking at one of your replies, its good that you focused on the core of the game and the art, but I feel that you should have still tried for a single player mode (even if it would be a little janky).

An interesting little game! I wish there was something you could do with the stone aside from escape. The visuals could also use some oomph! There's also some bugs here and there like you can place buildings on resources. Overall, good job!

Its neat but its not really a game. Also, you included all of your source code in your download, I don't know if this was intentional or not.

A tiny little game but interesting nonetheless! Like someone else said, I think the game could be improved by adding sound effects and music. I also think the fishing game could be a little more polished or faster paced. I don't think it really uses the limitation well, as you could completely cut out the island and nothing would be lost. Overall, cool!

I really liked it! Nice use of a hexagonal grid and free assets. I think it could be a fun local multiplayer game against friends.

A nice, short game! The sound effects and music were quite fun, though I was shocked when I first heard them. On one of the levels with the wave, if you go on the wave tile when its at 0, the player gets stuck, is this intended?

Do you think lowering the distortion would help? I am conflicted on whether I should change the water colors as I feel they are tropical.

I'll look into that. Thank you!

A very cool take on the typical tower defense game! Though, it requires more strategy in the movement department, I feel that its hurt in the tower defense department by the way you get towers randomly. Also, I feel that a bit of juice/polish and sound effects would help make the game more satisfying (like when enemies die)!

It's a very interesting and the art is certainly pretty. However, as a game it kind of lacks substance. I think it would have been cool to have more dialogue variations/events based on what the player does on the island, like interacting with the statues.

Not to be rude, but what am I supposed to do in the game? Could you add an explanation on the page?

Pretty fun, quick gameplay. I like the sound effects and "juice." I felt the controls were a little weird to get used to (like arrow keys using the arrow keys for action).

Overall, very enjoyable. It took me a few levels for it to "click" for me. I liked the little effects you had with the heart breaking and the lighting. One thing I didn't like was how fast the movement was for the black character on one level you have to have a very, very short key press in order to progress and I don't feel like it does anything for the game.

Overall an interesting game, though I feel that more polish would help it have a better "feel." I felt that it was kind of slow waiting for the passengers to appear and that I wasn't getting enough money to upgrade/buy more stuff. Though, I may be playing it wrong.

The concept of your game is an interesting idea though I was really confused on how I was supposed to win. I think I ended up using a glitch because you can still upgrade the steps while on sand, and it resets how many steps you can take. I think if you explained the game a bit more in the description it'd be helpful.

Lead yer pirate crew to treasure! Avoid losing all of your crew in boating wrecks as you slam your way into islands on your way to the X that marks treasure. Use the swirly whirl pools and vicious sea monsters and pillage towns on your way, too!

Gloop is a web game that I have been working on for the past 2 months. The main premise is that when the player dies they are brought to the location of their UFO, which can be thrown by the player. This mechanic is used in order to solve puzzles with buttons and the like. In later levels, vials are required to teleport to the UFO.

Yea, when I was making the game I was hurrying to complete it and didn't realize that some people don't have a "middle click". I'll be sure to update this and add one in the future.  Thanks!

Are you sure? I tested it with my laptops trackpad and it worked just fine, maybe it depends on the laptop...

I just fixed the level's winning state. Thanks!

(1 edit)

As soon as I submitted the game, I realized the objective wasn't clear.  My bad. I also just realized Level One appears to be broken.

Thank you so much! I did have a few ideas besides just color, but the color of the books was the most visual one for the player. I will most likely update it with some other things after the jam is over.

Yeah, I know. I have yet to find the best way to make stuff draggable in Godot. Thanks for playing!
