Great! Thanks for checking it out :)

Hey Everyone,

Checkout the gameplay of your games!

Hey everyone! I played through this week's games on video, check it out and let me know what you think:

Wow! I never realized how long it takes to respawn. And excellent point, and I see it now that you pointed it out. Thank you for the feedback!

I got pretty good at zipping the boat around haha. It would be cool if there was some sort of target or visual area to get the boat into, and a audio/visual cue when the package is delivered. Nice job on the graphics!

Nice job on the graphics and the gameplay!

Fun concept! I like the fast-paced strategy aspect. The castles seem to reset the level sometimes when trying to upgrade them.

Nice job on getting the raycasts to work! Cool concept, thanks for still submitting it. Sometimes I can break the last object with only 2 lasers, its seems that the far right one counts as 2 if you wiggle it around a bit :)

Love the artwork! It looks fantastic.

You gotta make this a web build, so we can play it without downloading!

Aw man I want to play, but it's not a web build :(

I think it's almost impossible to do on Normal... still says I recharged the battery afterwards though :)

Hahaha the best! Thanks!!

The pixel art and sounds come together really well. I used to play a ton of these kind of games years ago, and you captured the feel of the era perfectly. Some kind of ending would be nice! Overall this game is epic.

Loved it! It took me a bit, but I got the sequence down. Can I get my Flux Jentor Certification?

Nice job! I played about a dozen times, and beat it maybe twice. It's a lot harder than it looks at first! The progression is very good, the timing curve for the rocket spawns makes for an enjoyable round each time.

Very well done! The amount of content and polish for 6.5 hours is amazing! I wish the camera was a little further away to make dodging the rouge asteroids a bit easier, but a small complaint due to personal playing style. The map implementation is done nicely and this  is an excellent submission overall.

I believe that's why planning isn't included in the jam timeframe, it would be too difficult to research, learn and deploy new mechanics in the 3 hour window. I'm curious how you implemented the mechanic, did you create a list of points by tracking the cursor at short intervals following a mouse click?

Thanks for the feedback! I've been trying to improve my audio skills recently so it's cool to hear you enjoyed the mix.

Excellent point on the physics, something I'll need to keep in mind with these types of games especially.  It could definitely use more tweaking. Thanks for the constructive comment!

This game helped me understand why I'm not an air traffic controller! The pathing mechanic is really cool, its impressive how well it's implemented given the jam timeframe.  Very well done!

Good speed running game, pixel art looks great!

Great take on the theme, the little dudes are hilarious. Well done.

Cozy Asteroids with Ecological undertones!

Great aesthetic with the static! Nice take on hangman. Excellent submission especially considering the timeframe.

Thank you! I tried to get the control as smooth as I could in the short timeframe.

The gameplay is smooth and it feels good too. The white-on black is simple and works well with the sound. The difficulty is pretty steep, I was only able to get 7 max. It would be cool if there was a fixed timer for entering the code, I had a lot of drones expire before I could get the code in because they only had less than a second or so  left when I scanned them.

Here's what the  project looks like after about 1.5 hours. The physics are complete, working now on movement and gameplay/input logistics.

Edits: post format - Pic was in-between text.

Hi everyone, it's been awhile. I've been working on a big project, and I'm ready to take a break and crush a jam. I have project prototyped, all graphic assets ready to go. The build in Unity will take me about an hour, and I need a sound guy to create the SFX. It will be sci-fi with sounds for thrusters, pickup, drop, etc. I'll send you a list. If you're looking for a solid partner, reply here.  Check out my profile for past jam entries.

Tonight preferred, I can make a little time tomorrow if it looks like a great match.

Cheers,

~Sturm

Its fun but the difficulty is really hard!

This is really fun! I love the detail with the character expressions. Also, the way you can bump the blocks and move them around adds a nice touch of difficulty and strategy. It would be cool if the next block would only iterate between the edges of the exposed blocks, (once you start climbing higher and the initial platform disappears).

Very well done, I can see myself returning to play this multiple times!

Really well done for three hours! Gameplay is excellent, good audio and ambiance. Movement gets a little sticky on some of the objects, but that to be expected for the timeframe and browser play. Fun to play, well done!

Cool idea! Pretty fun to watch all the little guys go to battle and see the big swings.

Wow it gets intense!! I got into a nice rhythm at just under 1 minute, and was cruising for a bit. Then I got blown out of the water in the last 0:20 haha.  Fun to play, excellent interpretation of the theme, and the game flowed well. I like the extra attention to detail in that you can't click a flower until it's completely bloomed. Well done!

Ahhhh I can't get the last guy in the top left corner!! I got all the others though. I love the crouching and jumping mechanics, it really felt like I was controlling a group of really dumb mindless zombies hahah. Really cool concept, and nice balance between fun and frustrating to keep the player trying new angles and approaches to try to climb the platforms. Nice game!

Wow this is really hard! I love the concept, and other than the difficulty being really high, its pretty fun! Nice job on the audio and the effects, they make the shooting and collisions really satisfying.

It's kind of hard to see what I'm actually doing, or if I've accomplished anything. Some feedback would be nice, so you can tell if you're moving the pill to the right spot.

I couldn't figure out how to grab the humans, the hook doesn't seem to work for me.

This one speaks the truth! You won't get many views or ratings without a web build

Yeah nicely done! Yes I have the same name, just without the "13" at the end.

Really good sound effects for sure! They really add a lot to the game. Great concept, I had a little difficulty placing the blocks, some way of rotating the clusters before you place them would be cool. The learning curve on the gameplay is great, feels nicely balanced!
