This was a fun game! What I found most impressive was the devlog you kept while working through your learning adventure. I'm very impressed with the level of detail, and I learned quite a bit from going through your content. Thank you for sharing and great submission!

Edit: Oh yeah, the UI was VERY impressive. One thing I wanna learn more about in Godot :)

This was a very polished game for the jam. Great job on all aspects of the game; it gave me major Zelda vibes and I enjoyed the puzzles. Thank you for your submission! A minimap would have made the layout a little less confusing, but that's a preference of course :)

I know it's a little bias, but I love the survivor's gameplay so much! I would love to see this game fleshed out a little with some more level art and talents! This is a great jam game, and I loved the characters :) The devlog was robust and I even learned a little from it since Godot is my next challenge! Great work!

Awesome job on making 3D art and animation! Your perseverance will pay off for sure. As much as I don't like isometric games (the movement frustrates me) this game was great! The hardest running jump was that long platform that falls, but I made it! My only suggestion would be to add some kind of indicator to let the player know what kind of coffee they have (jumping/running, etc).

Thank you for playing! I appreciate the feedback!

Yeah, the boss is ranged only because kicking him is futile - he's so "buff" :D Magic is the only thing that gets the big guy. Collisions were a nightmare because I think I needed to setup a collision mask in Spine2D rather than relying on the one in game maker with Spine2D animations; that's why the lightning bolts only hit the upper body on the sales people :(

I replied on Youtube, but I wanted to thank you so much for playing! Loved the video, and it inspired me to make some updates as well. I hope you come back for the 1.2 update where I add leaderboards.

I enjoyed the style, the composition, and the variety of the games! I would like to see a racing game with that bike scene; I enjoyed that a lot. The sounds/audio in general were a little loud and higher pitch, but still very enjoyable! Thank you for your submission.

I am thinking of a way to make it more obvious about being spotted vs. being heard by coworkers. Right now ! = spotted (raises sus level, making managers appear more often), and ? = heard but means you are sneaking properly. Sprinting will always get you spotted, but worth it in some cases. Once the leaderboards are added, there will be runs for the least times caught by co-workers.

I hope that clears some of it up! Thank you for playing!

PERFECT! I felt like it was missing the sfx for a gavel. This is pretty great haha! I love it!

Thank you so much for playing! I'm going to polish a bit and make some updates. This jam inspired me to make games again :)

That's great feedback; thank you! I did the stop when you charge again to help stop before the manager catches you, to add a little more control if you will. I was thinking about making the movement based on holding the charge, so you can sneak the whole way, walk, or sprint, but then when you let go, it stops you.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I appreciate you taking time out of your day to give the game a shot :) I have updates on the way already to improve some of the visuals and fixing a few bugs I noticed.

You didn't get caught once?! Gonna have to make it more difficult :D Thank you for playing!

Careful! Don't get caught! HAHAHA

Thank you for the feedback :)

Thank you for the feedback, and thank you for posting your success screenshot! I will be adding leaderboards and other features after the jam :D

Loved the music. Loved the art. Loved the mechanics. It gave an old-school donkey kong vibe with a little bit of urgency when enemies spawned. Thank you for your submission!

The game was a little buggy when you hit that speedy spot. It took me a few tries to understand how to win the race, but it was a fun concept. The camera angle is something different...it would have been nice to see the angle change if you were winning vs. losing.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have fun playing all the games!

A good ole' classic. The sfx were pleasing. As most game jam games, I wish there were more levels, because this was a lot of fun. Thank you for the submission!

Wonderful game! I loved the music, but I wish there were more levels, it was that good.

Nice and simple. Loved the vibes and the great art and the old-school music. Thank you for your submission!

When the gavel came into the picture, I laughed. "I was born for this." The game was really cute, and I enjoyed seeing the stories...even if I cut some short with a bad judgment, muhaha! I do wish there was a gavel smash at the end of the trials when you make the decision :(

The art was cute, and a little creepy (the hands lol). The music seemed really loud and I couldn't disable it to be honest. It would have been fun to have 3 lanes to switch between for added difficulty. Thank you for your submission!

It gave off some creepy vibes, but I'm a little confused with the gameplay of the cultist game. I couldn't find a way to get the keys, and it gave me a little motion sickness when it started spinning faster. I like the idea though. Thank you for submitting!

Gameplay 10/10, I absolutely love seeing what it would be like to win toys out of these darn machines! The pop sounds of the items spawning in could be varied to make it less repetitive. I loved seeing the pokeballs, and the art was nice. Thank you for your submission!

The game felt a little lacking, but the art was cute. Seeing a fishing game with your art style would have been nice. Like you drop a line that reels to the top, and you try to catch one; the lantern fish would be worth a ton since it's deep sea.

I LOVE the art for your game. I wish there were more levels and opponents, of course, but this was a lot of fun. It gave me monty python vibes. I wish the jousting was a little more skill-based rather than timing. It would be nice to block an attack with a well-placed lance. Overall, I could see this game having a whole multiplayer tournament!

I was really confused at first because of the icons being so small, but after realizing what to do, the game style, idea, and execution are amazing! I love the little dancing animation for the main character too, it felt sassy haha.

I left feedback on your game's page, but I also wanted to let you know this was really fun! Thank you for your submission. I loved the minimalist puzzle and music to match. It was a cozy game for a Sunday morning.

I really love this style of puzzle game. The music is really well-done, the sfx go great with the feedback of interactions. I'm really impressed with the menu system. I was curious how you could implement menu interaction with one button, and you did it nicely.

Thank you so much for your feedback! The ? mark is okay, the ! mark means they noticed you :) They are just jealous and working "hard" so easily distracted hah!

Thank you! Again, it sucks that the whole description didn't copy over from the game page, the multiplier at the bottom increases you score bonus when blocking a hack attempt, which in turn, will make you progress a lot faster, which makes the difficulty increase a lot faster.

It's okay, I thought that the game details would show up on the jam page, but I guess not :( Basically you are trying to click on the green shapes (the hackers attempts) before they get through (smaller). Then, you want to also press space when the ticker gets to the middle as much as you can in succession to increase your hacker rating (score) multiplier.

Controls

  • WASD - Move "character" around
  • Mouse Left Click - Destroy hack attempt
  • SPACE - Increase rating booster (must line up the two indicators at the bottom to get the multiplier)

This was a very fun game, I LOVE the atmosphere you created :) Thanks for a fun little game!

I'm not one to really get angry or heated via text; so, you're good! I was just trying to help your design by simply including a larger amount of people. However, you came back with very interesting points about other games that are incredibly popular that have some inconveniences. That was a very good point! Even if we did end up getting in some kind of heated battle over whether or not your game should include an option to progress without a webcam, I was going to play it anyways...because it has a unique game mechanic that I have never seen. :)

I appreciate you taking the time to respond and defend your game mechanic! As indie game developers, we have to stick together and help bring others out of their comfort zone to experience our games, haha! I look forward to the final game, and so far, I am not disappointed. Good luck in the jam, and I hope you get a lot of feedback and players.

I don't think you understand my point. Not many people will allow a game the use of their webcam, especially from a gamejam game that someone put together. People are very suspicious of people watching them; you would be lucky to find people who don't have their webcams disabled. All I'm saying is please don't limit your game by making it only playable with a webcam.

Another solution would be to include an in-game timer with night/day mechanics if the webcam is disabled. Also, your idea isn't practical due to the fact that it would require someone to stand up, walk over to the light switch, and turn on/off the lights each time they need to change the time of day in-game...you would be surprised how lazy some gamers are. So, it would be nice to include an alternative to completing your game. I only say this because your game looks like it has potential, and it looks like a great idea...I wouldn't wanna see it go to waste because someone doesn't have a webcam.

Yeah, making a game that requires people to use their webcam with no alternative solution to that is bad design.

Hey man, I could use your skills for our game. I already have an artist, animator, musician, and myself (coding and game design). Let me know if you wanna join! Hit me up @radethdart on twitter.

The idea of game jams is to make everything within the time. Scripting and modeling new assets for the game is kind of cheating. Pre-used assets are assets that were already created, (not for the game jam).
