1. Interact with the note on the front of the player's/Ted's house
2. Go to Luna's house
3. Exorcise ghost as normal
4. Then go to Luna's room
If she's at a mirror/tv; you're already too late. Bloody Mariam's behavior starts off the same as the other ghosts where she has a set location in her haunted room that she spawns in; but then her ghost ability kicks in and she teleports to a mirror/tv/painting. You need to slash her when she's spawning in her haunted room, not when she teleports into her hunt behavior.
If you're talking about her spawning into the tv or the mirrors; that's not her spawn. She starts off with the same spawning behavior as any other ghost where she has a spot in her haunted room that she spawns; but then her hunt behavior kicks in and she teleports to the tv/mirrors. If she shows up at the mirror or the tv, you're already too late on the swing because she is now in hunt mode and not about to begin hunt mode where the dagger is actually effective.
Edit: Just took a picture for clarification. She doesn't have the model right now because I'm on nightmare; but this is a Bloody Mariam. Her spawn room is the basement, so this is where I'd hit her with the dagger to capture. If she's in the living room, the bathroom, or luna's room; I'm already too late because shes then in hunt mode instead of preparation here.
Suggestion 3: Yepyep. Was testing it on nightmare; when it came to Shy's the bathroom has the mirror so close to the door that Shy's would get knocked down just zoning into the room with how the mirror currently is. With the toggle it should give her a fair shake at being just as threatening as some of the others
Just making a thread to kind of compile bugs I've come across/suggestions. Big fan of ghost investigation type games so already have a love for LSH. My posts is purely looking at this as a game vs just a porn game; because really it has a great atmosphere and it's just a lot of fun to play.
Bugs:
Bug #1: Video camera #4 on the monitor's night vision doesn't toggle
Bug #2: Capping out the purchase limit on video cameras and then trying to purchasing thermometers causes the thermometer purchase cap to roll over into negative integers. Not sure why, but was able to recreate consistently.
Balance-wise:
Suggestion #1: Hunt is I think too long. Currently it's set to 50 seconds on easy, 1 minute and 10 seconds(ish, my stopwatch might have been off) on normal, and 1 minute and 30 seconds on nightmare. As a bit of perspective, phas's hunt timers is set to 50 seconds for amateur on the largest map, intermediate at 53 seconds, and then professional/nightmare at 1 minute and 3 seconds. That puts LSH's hunts at nearly 30 seconds longer for the higher difficulties on a map that's a fifth of the size with the lower difficulties being the same hunt times at that same fifth. I think until a larger map is put out, I'd pin an ideal hunt timer at the 30-45ish seconds mark for easy/normal and then a minute flat for nightmare; since the problem with longer then ideal hunt timers means that's also more time they have to just sit in a closet twiddling their thumbs just to capture kuppers/countlanaks/bloody mariams.
Suggestion #2: Bloody Mariams ability is kind of...harmless. She cycles between televisions and mirrors; but since the current map only has three of those it means you'd have to work harder just to get caught lacking by her since she don't move. It's possible to keep those abilities and make her stronger by adding maybe a few hallway mirrors and then stretching out the time between her flickers so she gets more of a landmine ghosty feel (Which is kind of the vibe she gives off currently with her abilities. Maybe even have her cycle through those mirrors mid hunt)
Suggestion #3: Maybe have the dark mirror as a timed toggle vs just park infront of a mirror and stare. As it is you can just go into the bathroom, face the door; and it's game for Shy's because the mirror stays on indefinitely and she walks right into it when she zones into the room.
Hope any of this is helpful and only wish for the best for the game!
